3andnomore, thanks for the info on water, wish I'd known all that a long time ago. Will definitely up the water intake (as soon as I've finished this glass of wine...)

Got realistic about what I was eating.
Weighed myself every day and got over feeling depressed if I'd put on weight.
Ate less, and consciously replaced cakes/biscuits with fruit.
Concentrated on my hands and feet when tempted in the biscuit aisle of the supermarket (ie ran away!)
Kept no crisps, biscuits etc in the house.
Allowed myself one chocolate bar a day.
Got a bike and used it.
Did not allow myself to eat as a way of not facing up to problems.

cheeky monkeys...I got myself into a habit now of drinking hot water with a few slices of lemon and lime, which is really nice, and much better for you then tea or coffee Great for the skin
Also, if you do drink bottled Water (which I do) then go for mineral water rather then spring water, as springwater could basically be just bottled tapwater, lol...and mineral water obviously got minerals in it, which are also good!

Nightynight...weighing yourself every day isn't all that good though...makes you obcessed really....also your weight can fluctuate so much from day to day, which may well has nothing to do with how much of it is fat, etc...!

Oh, and am reading right now Jason Vales Slim4 Life, freedom from the food trap...a really good book if you have issues with overeating, etc....!But I am a great fan of his anyway

yeah, but the op asked what worked for you, and I quite like daily weighing...
