angelpoppet · 27/07/2004 11:05

OK, so maybe I was a bit premature yesterday!!! [SAD]

I didn't loose 5 Ibs - not even 4.5Ibs - I only managed 2 Ibs - I knwo it's better than nothing but I was quite dissapointed.

Anywayt then men are away this weekend so us girls are out on the piss - I don't stand a hope in hells chance of loosing.

Any ideas for low point alcohol - I think with ww vodka is 1 point and a double is 1.5 points. So double vodka it it - but I can't stand vodka and diet coke - what else is free???????????

angelpoppet · 27/07/2004 11:06

I REALLY need to cut these nails off - my typing is totally going to pot!!!!!

hi all...today I have been mostly eating chocolate for breakfast. I am useless

My excuses...8wk baby who is waking loads at night, 2yo having strops and potty training and adolescent 4yo. Under those circs I think choc is better than my first choice which would be gin

never mind MG, I'm sure if I was organised enough to have a GP (just moved, still in chaos and no time) I'd be the same. Third time round the tummy muscles seem to have given up and I look so lumpen and saggy (sigh).

angelpoppet · 27/07/2004 12:20

Yorkie,

I used to drink Bacardi when I was younger (think I OD'ed a bit)

Probably why I can't stand it now - back to the drawing board.

I like Vodak, lemonade and lime but no pubs EVER have diet lemonade

Does anyone know if lime cordial is OK?????

bundle · 27/07/2004 12:31

i used to drink lime, soda and angostura bitters. bit of an acquired taste, but hardly any calories...

Skara · 27/07/2004 18:23

oh yum Bundle, I love that - even better with vodka in

Gomez · 27/07/2004 19:24

Two days in and still doing okay...but am feeling a bit peckish and have just finshed dinner. There may be trouble ahead .

We have decided to go on holiday on the 3rd September which is only 5 weeks on Friday hopefully to Cornwall. However my wardrobe is rather limited at the moment (slightly pi**ed of that pregnancy weight has pretty much gone but clothes I was wearing at 2/3 months pregnanct don't fit) so I need to (I think) lose at least 2lbs per week to have a chance of extending my choices. So I am now mucho serious. What do you think my chances are? I refuse to buy any new clothes.

Have also began the tummy tightening campaign by trying 100 sit-ups last night and achieving 43 . Damm c-section has a lot to answer for.

Okay off for a fat free snack. Funnily enough breastfed nipper has been farting like a trouper today - a consequence of vastly increased fruit intake perhaps?

Ohhh what about gin and slim as a tipple? Or the vodka and lime but with soda water rather than lemonade? Nice and refershing too.

Cheerio

Heathcliffscathy · 27/07/2004 20:09

i'm too scared to weight myself

Heathcliffscathy · 27/07/2004 20:09

weigh that is

Ghosty · 28/07/2004 03:31

Have decided to boycott all social events .... .
Had a friend round for coffee this morning and like a good kiwi mum she brought round some blueberry muffins and date scones. She then proceeded to smear an inch of butter on them .... bugger bugger bugger .... I couldn't say no could I - it would have been terribly rude!!
So I had half a muffin and half a scone and didn't have any lunch so now I am starving!

Fennel · 28/07/2004 09:55

I woke in the night hungry! this had better be working... am eating lots of salad without dressing this week. and substituting low-cal grapefruit squash for red wine. it doesn't have the same buzz really.

Gomez · 28/07/2004 09:56

Fennel why don't you try balsamic vinegar as a salad dressing? Fairly tasty...

monkeygirl · 29/07/2004 11:33

Yes yes I have been hiding a bit but actually, although my eating habits have not been as good as they should have been, I have actually done quite a lot of walking for the first time since giving birth and I'd always prefer to do more exercise so that I could eat more - I have to accept I love my food!

Ghosty - I think I must have been a Kiwi mum in a former life, sounds like they love their sweet stuff. Muffins, aaaahhhh.

Gomez, we have just booked a break in September to Centerparcs (thanks MN for giving me the idea and impetus) and would like to fit into some of my old clothes cos I really don't want to buy any more (well I wouldn't mind buying some trendy size 12 slinky trousers and fitted shirts but I am several - ahem - pounds, oh alright, stones from that little dream).

pesme · 29/07/2004 11:37

drinking hot chocolate as I type, it has become a serious habit. does anyone else have two or three bizarre bodies grafted together. I am still smallish on top with HUGE boobies and a bottom bit that looks like I had liposuction in reverse.

Bozza · 29/07/2004 22:16

LOL pesme. monkeygirl I've started doing a bit of walking too. Poor old DS doesn't know what has hit him because I keep making him walk home from nursery. Its uphill so DS holds on to the pram and I end up dragging him up as well.

beansmum · 30/07/2004 11:56

hey, can i join. got about 2st to lose, maybe more. depends if i want to get back to pre baby weight or just want to be able to squeeze into my old clothes! whoever said that if you breastfeed you can eat more than you did before you were pregnant and still lose weight is lying!

Ghosty - social events are my downfall too! I feel rude if I refuse the tempting treats on offer, and really don't want to offend. Arrgghh. What to do heh??

I've started slimming world now. I've had to do the online version as I can't get ot a class. Much to my surprise I am quite enjoying eating healthily. Although I am missing the cnvienance of ready made meals.

bluebear · 30/07/2004 20:41

I was too embarrassed to even look at this thread on Monday but I see I'm not alone - I put on 1 and a half pounds last week....due to pigging out on cake and the occasional ice-cream.
Phew..feel better now I've confessed.

suzywong · 30/07/2004 20:46

with my cooker gone and no point buying in anymore food until we use this lot up I am reduced to having a cheese toasted sandwich and a bowl of heinz tomato soup for dinner, it was fish and chips for lunch.

I'm not playing at the moment
