How to re-set diet/nutrition for overall health & to tone up

Hey everyone and Happy New Year! Smile
I am looking to re-set my current eating habits in order to improve how I feel.
I am looking for any advice or recommendations of a healthy, nutritional eating plan that I can follow that isn't heavily focused on weight loss. I am in my 40's and am very active. I play squash 2-4 times per week and see a Personal Trainer 1hr per week.
The problem is what I am eating. I know i am not fuelling my body properly but I am overwhelmed by all the information out there online. I spend hours looking at recipes etc but not sure how to apply this knowledge and when to eat the different types of meals etc.
What I would find useful is a more personalised nutrition/meal plan to accompany my current fitness regime.
I did look at he Body Coach 90 day plan but am on the fence due to the very mixed reviews.
Any ideas or recommendations?

I seem to end up recommending this on a few threads like this, but I've lost weight and am keeping it off by following an online personalised eating plan that I signed up to, it's called Freedom Diet Coach. I considered Body Coach too originally, but after looking at sample menus it seemed too meat heavy for me, and I wanted meals the rest of the family would eat too.

FlightyMare - thanks Smile.
I came across that too from reading some of the other threads but I guess because its not a major well known nutrition plan I wasn't sure about it. I have the same issue in that I cannot make meals for me and separate meals for DH and teenage DS. I need us all to eat well but DS cannot be restricted with low fat foods or miss out complete food groups as he is still growing (at an alarming rate - lol). How long have you been following the Freedom plan?

I started it in September and followed it for 12 weeks, by which time I'd lost the weight I'd wanted to (almost a stone and a half). I loosely follow it now but have adapted the recipes to follow the maintenance plan that I got at the end of the 12 weeks. My sugar intake has crept up again over Christmas though and I'm now thinking about completely cutting sugar out again, as I know I feel better eating 3 meals a day and only snacking on non-sweet stuff (it's easier said than done though with a giant Toblerone staring me down in the kitchen!). There was no low-fat stuff in my plan, and carbs weren't excluded.

Rebelfit is worth looking at too. Not weight focussed. Very fitness health focussed depending on your goals. I was v impressed
