Hi everyone!

I thought I'd start a thread for some support on my weight loss mission!

I'm 5"2 and weighed 12'12 at the beginning of September. I'm getting married next August and want to lose 3 stone by then 😱

I've bought a Fitbit to help and gone from having 3 massive take aways a week to having one once a month. I've cut down on calories and snacking, eating less and healthier. Gone from not moving much in the day 3000 steps to doing 12,000+ steps a day with a couple of cardio sessions a week.

Weighed myself today and have lost 7lbs/half a stone so far!! Feeling positive!!

Anyone else? Feel free to jump on this thread!

I'm using it too, it's really good! The evening snack is a killer, used to have a cup of tea in the evening with a big bar of chocolate! Blush I now have a tea and a handful of nuts or banana if I'm hungry. Tbf I don't feel very hungry very often anymore Grin

OMG that’s all the food allows on that link what a pityfull amount. Really I’d never give such a bad nutritional plan out like that clients would soon quit with zero results.

Plenty of protein more veggies and proper fats is what gets results keeps you full too. It’s no wonder why people give up far to soon when diets like that are banded about. Don’t forget hydration at least 3ltrs of water a day to.

RandomMess · 05/10/2017 16:46

The sad fact is when you are a very short adult you just don't need much food, didn't look at the nutritional advice really just an idea of how little you need.

Certainly when I did stick to 1200-1400 calories I lost weight and didn't feel hungry. I literally just gave up eating non-nutritional crap, didn't religiously weigh proper food but did for servings of cereal/porridge etc

Strongbeatsskinny · 05/10/2017 18:07

I’m under 5ft and eat far more than the pitiful amount on that link you’ve put up. It’s not enough to feed a bird let alone a human body the needs fuel to function.

Protein carbs and fats in the right proportion and you will loose excess body fat and excess weight the two are a separate issue for body composition.

RandomMess · 05/10/2017 18:11

Well I survived 3 years quite happily on it!!! Oh and the whole of my twenties it's only been the years of binging on chocolate and wine that we're the issue...

Anyone who starts going on that there way is the "only way" is usually trying to sell something.

Another great app is Loseit!. It tracks your caloric intake, exercise levels (it gets steps walked automatically from the phone), has a web portal you can log into. I've found it very helpful.

Strongbeatsskinny · 05/10/2017 22:28

I don’t need to sell anything if that’s what your insinuating. I most certainly do not need too either.

Many would just plateau on cookie cut plans especially after the 20s every single one of us are individuals with equally individual digestive systems. By regular adjustments to diet and exercise there’s no reason why plateau should happen. No two people are the same even if thier statistics start out the same to start with.

RandomMess · 06/10/2017 07:04

Exactly @Strongbeatsskinny we are all individuals. I know what works for me yet you have come here and dissed my choice to reduce my calorie intake!!!

Eating 1800+ calories a day when I am 5' consisting of lots of crisps, biscuits, chocolate and alcohol makes me fat. Not rocket science. Ignore the sugar cravings (due to my insomnia) I don't eat the crap, listen to when I am hungry and I easily stick to under 1,400 calories per day balanced over a week.

I have a sedentary lifestyle- that isn't going to change.

Incidentally despite being overweight my body fat percentage is low 20s. Still a walking heart attack as I approach my 50s but that's genetics.

Littlepumpkinpie · 06/10/2017 14:18

Oh dear Random you've decided to hit out with such a nasty vibe was it the username that hit a nerve.

Nobody can be of low bodyfat and be obese. If you've got insomnia eating enough Of the right nutritional balanced diet will aid your sleep. Strong is right in what she's saying why be so horrible to someone who sounds like they do know about this subject.

CosyFires · 10/10/2017 10:03

How's everyone doing? Weighed in at 12,02 this morning! 10lbs down! Was under the weather all last week so didn't get much exercise but still tried to get my 10,000 steps in!

Nice work Cosy 👍👍.

I was 10st 10lbs this morning which makes my total 23lbs since August 12th. Only 5lbs to get to 2 stone off and 10lbs to get to goal (might reassess once I get there).

Pretty happy 😀.

CosyFires · 10/10/2017 10:44

That's fantastic Jesus you've done fantastic! 👍🏻 You've gone to prove that it can be done!! Let's hope I'm as successful as you Wink Bootcamp again tonight 💪🏼Grin
