Overhang - will it ever go?

I'm 24 years old and 3 months post partum after having an emergency c section. Prior to pregnancy I was a size 10 and took a lot of pride in my figure especially my stomach. Unfortunately nearing the end of my pregnancy I developed preclampsia and swelled excessively however this wasn't picked up until I went into labour - which was 12 days overdue. During my pregnancy I stopped going to the gym but went swimming and walking instead and it was only until the end of my pregnancy that I gained a big amount of weight going from 10 stone to nearly 15. Now 3 months after birth I am a size 12 and 11 stone 7lbs eating healthy and back in the gym. However I have this awful overhang above my c section scar, it has gone down ever so slightly but I'm worried it may never go no matter how much I exercise and eat right. I've read online that some women's never fully goes - please tell me this isn't true!

Mine hasnt, but then i have had 4dc all born by section and heaviest was over 11lb and i did gain lots of weight each time, hate water retention and big babies! I am a size 10 and physically fit but i have a 4 inch overhang of loose overstretched skin that only a surgeon will be able to shift.

My dc was 7lbs 13 and I honestly believed I wouldn't have so much extra weight after birth - very naive I know. I suppose it gets to me more because most of my friends don't have children so I see myself as having a horrible figure compared to them
