Help! I've stalled and getting demotivated...

I started LCHF alongside calorie counting and increasing exercise 6 weeks ago today exactly. Initial results were great, I lost 6.5 kgs in first month - but now nothing in 2 weeks; in fact, i've even gone up 1kg again! Due to ill health over past 4 years (medication incl. steroids caused the weight to go on) this is the first time in 4 years its started to come off again and I am desperate to lose it all!

So demotivated and struggling to continue today. I am sticking to 1200 calories a day and less than 30g of carbs for most weeks but now probably less than 50g carbs as I am more hungry I think since starting the Couch to 5K 3 weeks ago.

Any ideas how I can get over this hump and stay motivated? Still have another 15kgs to go!! And have invite to go out for curry tonight to see friend over from another country so my will is slipping... :(

6.5kg that is fab! Well done. I am prone to doing the same, loosing some then sliding back, so no easy answers. Think about the goal and how good you will feel.
You can have a curry, enjoy it and not be too caloric. Just choose carefully, enjoy and redouble your efforts tomorrow. It will be worth it,

Hi. I've lost 3 stone but has taken over 2 years (largely due to too many holidays where I say stuff it ha!). Whenever I've got stuck I've found one of 2 things work. 1 - have a diet break (providing you feel your willpower is strong enough to know you'll get back on it afterwards). A couple of days of indulgence tends to kick start me afterwards - maybe because it's a reminder to your body that food is plentiful? 2 - either try a different diet for a few weeks or change up your meal choices totally. We all tend to get into a diet rut with our food choices and I'm sure once your body gets too used to what you eat it stops doing what you want. Good luck x

Thanks both, feeling a bit more motivated again today. I agree that I might be in a diet food rut - need to shake up my menu planning (and actually menu plan instead of picking in the fridge the limited foods I can have!!)
