Belly fat

And how to get rid? The eternal question.

I am resigned to never fully getting rid of it but some reassurance I could reduce its ugliness would be appreciated... the history - comfort eating got me to 24 stone. Lost 9 stone. Put 8 stone back on.... 🙄 and now that + 2 children later, my belly hangs on to my thighs and I get infections in the crease because it never gets any air 🤢😞😪 plus it's ugly 🙄

Thanks to Fitbit and mfp I'm now 2.5 stone down again (and so, so close to being pre-first-child weight!) but the belly is upsetting me now. I realise it will reduce but I want to help it on its way.

Exercise wise, I do a minimum of 12k steps a day and if I can get on the treadmill then I do a very slow jog/walk for half an hour. We also go 'swimming' once a week (the inverted commas are because some of it is swimming round with the youngest tucked under one arm). I work shifts and sometimes don't get home till after 9pm, having started at 8am.....

Ideas of things I could do within the home? Please :)

You cant spot reduce, that's the number one rule. Exercise has fantastic benefits, but it doesn't do much for weight loss itself (well it does but you have to train at least 6 hours a week if not more). In my experience, my stomach only got smaller once I reached a BMI of 26 or thereabouts. The skin has only started to become tighter two months later (and I train quite a bit). Short answer, lose more weight and do strength training, but if the skin is too saggy only a tummy tuck would do

There is no such thing as spot reduction, as the pp said. It is solely decided by your body from where you lose fat and in which order.
