Has anyone tried Bright Lines Eating?

It's aimed at dealing with the food addiction that underlies weight gain ( for some people).
I fell really conflicted about it, ( not least because of the price) , but I know I need to do it, it makes so much more sense to me than dieting, because the fat is a symptom of compulsive eating. I find American hard sell off putting, even though I warm to the woman, and she seems genuine. Is this my resistance. Her story is very similar to mine.

But I'd LOVE to hear from anyone who had given it a go.
Thanks

Sorry, was about to start a paragraph saying was I in resistance, or am I being wisely cautious.

This message is only just over a month old so hopefully this doesn't count as a zombie thread.

Ohyesiam did you start following this plan. I have been looking into it as well, but it seems very strict. I am not sure that I want to start a plan where you never eat sugar or flour again.

A family member ordered the book on Kindle. It is very strict. He didn't start the plan because at the time he was having some MH issues and he couldn't imagine weighing all his meals (yes even in a restaurant you are supposed to take your scales to weigh the food!) . No sugar, no flour ,no alcohol ever again was daunting for him at the time.
His health is somewhat better now and he's considering doing the online plan
I'd be interested to know if anyone is following this also?

I signed up for the BL bootcamp. It wasn't for me though, but I will say that their customer service is excellent and I was given an immediate refund. It made me feel very anxious and cranky around food. Everything needs weighed, even when eating out. You literally take off one pea to bring it under the weight. No unplanned eating - not even a cup of tea is allowed if it's not on your plan. Basically nothing can go in your mouth that isn't on plan. And in the FB group you aren't even allowed to mention certain types of food, you use acronyms for them. But people who can do it swear by it, for me it gave food incredible power and I felt I was ruled by the rules, if that makes sense. I've since lost over 1.5 stone on the MN low carb bootcamp :)

Any diet that days you can never eat a food ever is just not going to be maintainable long term.

cherries, thanks for sharing your experience in the BL online bootcamp. I'm going to show your post to my family member, I really don't think it's right for him but of course the decision is up to him. Good to hear from someone with direct experience.

Hi i'ts worth trying the 14 day challenge, it really works and is perfectly safe and healthy. I'm on day 8 and it's interesting compared to other diets as it unpacks why we overeat. Give it a go and then you can see if you like it?
