Also, in the meantime, any one tell me how many Calories I have had so far today?

Average cereal bowl filled to one third with frozen berries, a lemon yougurt and a tablespoon of Museli.
Tesco Finest Crossiant (no jam or butter)

Two tablespoons of Brazil nuts

2 large boiled eggs with one slice of whole meal bread and butter.

Thanks

Try the myfitnesspal app. You can scan stuff as you eat it and search for things on it by typing stuff in. I find it really good. You can enter how much of a portion you've had and it deducts it from the total calories you allocate yourself each day.

AuntieStella · 01/06/2017 14:52

MyFitnessPal would be able to give you a calorie count for that.

We cannot do it based in the info you have posted (how big is 'average'? What sort of berry? Size of yoghurt and whether low fat? Ingredients or brand of muesli? Thin, medium or thick sliced bread? How much butter?)

Jellybean85 · 01/06/2017 14:53

I love my fitness pal and it remembers previous food so very easy to re add things.

AuntieStella · 01/06/2017 14:54

A Tesco's finest croissant is 257-266 (check packaging, they do sometimes change), and Brazil nuts are 33 per 5g

Out2pasture · 01/06/2017 14:55

Exactly what cereal (brand and type please) and what measure of cereal (1 or 2 cups)
Exactly what name and brand of yogurt and what size portion
Were the Brazil nuts flowing over the top of your tbsp measure
Eggs are easy to google (I can't remember)
You need to know the brand and size weight of EVERYTHING

Out2pasture · 01/06/2017 14:57

The site I just looked at says 70 calories per large boiled egg

AuntieStella · 01/06/2017 14:58

Large eggs, 78 each

AstrantiaMajor · 01/06/2017 15:00

The muesli was one I make myself , which was oats, bran, seeds and weetabix. Just one tablespoon. I guess it weighed about an ounce.

The lemon yogurt was Rachel's and was about three tablespoons.
The berries were blackcurrants and blueberry. I think a ladleful best describes it.

I gues there were about 8 Brazil nuts.

You can use the MFPmdatabase without downloading the app.

It'll probably be more efficient if you input what you are and totted it up, Astrantia rather than posting it, someone else doing it, and then posting it. It'll also give you an idea of how the MFP database works.

Sorry to be thick Auntie Stella, but I did not understand your post.

Astra there are web sites to enter all your food bits and it gives you the calorie count.
The MFP site/program is free and very good

AuntieStella · 01/06/2017 15:41

If you follow the link I posted, you can input the things you ate straight into the MFP calorie database.

That will be much quicker for than posting and waiting for answers whilst someone retypes your posts into that database (or a similar one, there are lots to choose from, and not everyone likes MFP - that's why trying it out with today's food might help you decide if you like this one).

If you use the MFP app, you can then set your calories per day and it'll automatically deduct every food you enter. But you don't have to use the app at all, you can just note down the values you get from searching the database.

(earlier post prob not helped by typo 'are' for 'ate')

AstrantiaMajor · 01/06/2017 16:06

Thank you that makes sense now

If you are looking for such information more often, i can recommend you to download a calorie counter app. There are quite a few like lifesum or MFP, but I personally like the YAZIO app best. If you need the values only irregular and rarely, it’s perhaps easier to look them up in an online database like www.yazio.com/en/foods
I hope this is helpful for you :)

It is quite difficult without knowing weights really.

I'd guess (with help from MFP):

Tablespoon Muesli: 50
3 tbspn full fat yoghurt: 130
Croissant: 260
Ladleful of berries: 80
8 Brazil nuts: 260
2 hard-boiled eggs: 150
One slice bread: 100
Small pat butter: 50

= 1080 calories. But without the exact weights of yoghurt, berries, bread and butter it's imprecise.

Thankyou
