Has anyone tried it?

I have watched you are what you eat several times and have been impressed with the weight loss. I have done the questionairre and have been given a diet plan.
Foods to avoid etc...
It seems fine. I am off to the shops tomorrow to stock up on all sorts of weird and wonderful foods..

I hope this works.

Good luck oinker - how are you getting on?

I follow this diet as much as I can. I make lots of soups, and would juice more if my juicer/blender was not such a pain the arse to clean afterwards, so many bits and bobs.

Have you any of the books that go with the series? I have the you are what you eat book and cookery book. I totally believe in around 90% of what the book advises. Right now I am tryng the goji berries Gillian keeps rattleing on about. Where I live they are 50p for a big bag, so I am experimenting, putting them in porriage, drinking them in hot water and eating them on their own.

Keep us updated with your progress.

where did you get the diet plan from oinker????

and how are the goji berries muckyanthea??? what do they taste like?

MuckyAnthea · 13/02/2007 09:13

The ones I eat, taste a bit bitter. But they are ok in porraige, I don't think I will drink them in hot water anymore though, they go a bit soggy, I don't like the texture. Yeah - I'm interested in where oinker got her diet plan from also.

Remember that 'Dr' Gillian McKeith is nothing of the sort - did you see the article in yesterday's Guardian? She's a charlatan whose diet is a load of old cobblers. You don't need weird and wonderful foods to lose weight. You just need to eat less calorie-dense foods, more low-calorie foods and exercise more. Go for something like Slimming World or Weightwatchers if you need a 'regime' to follow. Much more healthy and effective.

Well I live in China, and the majority of the 'superfoods' Gillian is advertising [and making a load of money from too - I am aware of this] are the staple diet of most Chinese people here. There are 90 year olds exercising outside my front door every morning and night, they look like they are 60 years old. All the food she promotes is dirt cheap here, I have changed my whole attitude to food since learning about the food I see everyday. I have learnt to cook, and The YAWYE foodplan makes sense to me, this is why I have incorporated it into my diet.

I think she is a big advocate of Quinoa (apparently pronounced Keenwa) and I bought some in Sainsbury the other day & actually thought it was really nice!
