Help me choose a gym/pool membership option

Okay so using council gym because it's by far the cheapest, nearest and is excellent (was commonwealth games stadium and has been much improved regularly since).

BUT they have too much choice. I can go twice a week when ds is at kindy and I am not working. I could also go on a Sunday morning, and more often than that when my parents are here, as will have a babysitter.

So do I go for:

Pool membership for $125 for 3 months (just swimming, no classes)
Gym membership $125 for 3 months (includes classes)
Membership of both for $165 including aqua and gym classes.

Or do I be a cheapskate and buy 20 pool entries for $80.

Oh please help me to decide.

Have just looked and realised that I can't make a single aqua aerobics session anyway. I can make some aerobics classes though.

classes are great, but then again I need someone shouting at me !

There are two classes on a Monday morning - which I thought I would be able to go to one of - and would get me going for the week. I'm going to do it. The swimming membership would be $125 on it's own, and I only have to go to classes 5 times to get my money back on the gym bit.

The combo of classes and gym did most for me.

I just tend to use the pool for a fun visit with the kids and/or a relaxing soak!

I joined up today for both and did some cardio work and had a swim. I'm going to go yoga on Thursday.

Yoga was hard work - but the instructor was lovely, and said I was at a disadvantage because of my very long legs. The fact I'm not at all bendy couldn't have helped at all either.

hi I'm a fitness instructor. I'd go for a combined membership to give you a wider choice and variety. You should try and do a mixture of Cardiovascular, muscle toning and stretch (like yoga) to help you get results.
