Hello! I am 5'3 and my weight is 12 st 8 lb.

As the title says, I am desperate to lose weight and be fit. My youngest is 2 years old and I am tired of feeling miserable about being fat. I am addicted to carbs and sugar. Have done every diet and plan, and they work for a bit and then I gain all back again.

Have decided that now my priority is lose weight and being fit, so I have hired a personal trainer 3x a week. Will start counseling for the addiction and to address emotional eating. Luckily I have some savings that I am planning to use them to get to my goal but the reason I am posting, is that I do not know what else I can do? I work FT and have 3 kids, so time is an issue, but will take days off if needed to get me started.

Sorry for the rambling, any suggestions most welcome! I forgot to mention that I had some cosmetic treatments of those machines that apparently help to lose inches by using radio frequency, vacuuming and other stuff, but did not make much difference. Was even considering bariatric surgery but reading some information I apparently don't qualify because my BMI is "only" around 30.

Many thanks!!

Hi Pennguin, I love your username : ) thank you for the suggestions. I have cut all sugar the onlycaaarbs I eat are vegetables at lunch and dinner. I feel that the cravings have stopped which is a massive help. However, I feel very tired. I am taking lots of vitamins and supplements so I hope those will help. I stopped the counseling sessions as I felt they did not help. And have kept the trainer 2x per week, plus I walk 45 min 2x week.

Hi Lady, thank you for sharing your story! The gallstones must have been so paiiinful. I am. Aware that it's a possible side effffect of rapid weight loss. But so far this is the only thing that has worked. For me. I hope I am able to change my habits, for my children's sake as much as for my health. Thank you so much for posting, it means a lot! Hope you are completely recovered now.

Hi! I found this old thread and wanted to update that after losing quite a lite of weight last year, I am now 13' 3, so heavier than how I wa dejen Ibstarte the thread exactly one year ago.

I have been in a low carb diet for two weeks, and have started losing weight again. So, it is clear that for me this will be a lifelong struggle.

I was so happy during the Christmas season last year, as I had lost lots of weight and could fit in very nice clothes. Now, none of them fit, and I stupidly got rid of my bigger size clothes.

So, I am now back again! I hope I can reach my goal this time. I have a family event on a couples of months time, and I wish I could fit in nice clothes by them.

I am just updating so I can keep tr k of my non-progress : )
