Quickest way to lose weight...I have 2 months...Atkins?

Hope some of you can help:

I'm going on my first US trip at Easter - yay - and I want to be bikini thin. My top half is fine but hips, arse and thighs, knees and ankles are AWFUL. I have 2 months to drop 1 - 2 dress sizes and it will be hard because I've already dieted down from a size 14 to 12 over summer, slowly, so the fat I have left is the fat I've been carrying for the past ten years or more. Is ATkins the best way to lose it quickly? Usually I'm a really healthy eater eg loads of fruit and veg, rice, salad, v little meat and no red meat. Doesn't Atkins/low carb make you feel really crap and your skin/hair look crap too, with all the meat and fat? Ideas?

Oh and what veg can I eat on Atkins I can't face life without veg even for 2 months!

WWiW - have you ever read the Atkins book?! It's actually a very strict plan, where you start by eating 20g carbs a day - which have to come from green leafy vegetables and salad. After two weeks of this (the induction phase) you gradually increase your daily carb intake by 5g until you reach a point that you start to put weight back on - this tells you what your daily carb intake can be for maintenance.

Veg is encouraged - even fruit once induction has been followed.

In terms of feeling ill, if you suffer from carb withdrawals you may get a headache, feel tired and lethargic, but this will only take 2-3 days, after which you will feel very energised.

It is by no means a plan based just on meat - that's a myth that the media love to perpetuate. Oh, and he didn't die from a heart attack, he had a fall. He slipped on some ice and banged his head, which led to his death.

Don't do Atkins! You will lose weight short-term but long-term you will put it on, plus more, and your metabolism will be ruined, for ever. I speak from experience, it's a really, really bad idea.
