help I've turned into a diet bore

Hi so I have been low carbing for a couple of months and I've stopped eating chocolate and cake at work. It's been quiet noticeable at work as I keep having to turn down food and now I'm the office bore. I over heard someone saying not that again when once more I turn down a kind offer of food. how can I be polite but not eat all the food offered as we have a foody office

realise they're jealous because they don't have your resolve. stand firm.

How is saying 'no thank you' to an offer of food being a diet bore?

Have your own LC snacks ready - nuts, cucumber/celery with cream cheese, a few berries with cream and then have your snack when the others have the cake. You can still join in without indulging too much.

Are you actively being asked mail ? If so, hopefully they will take the hint and stop asking. It's much easier if the food is just somewhere and you can ignore it in peace.

Yes, people keep helpfully fetching me cake or a treat. During lent I had an excuse but now it looks bad as I keep turning it down. I have nuts and crackers to snack on but it doesn't stop people being helpful

It just sounds rude trying to impose something on someone who is saying 'no thanks. Reminds me of the sit-com : the Irish priests with their housekeeper saying 'Ah go on. You know ya'want to.'

They are being rude I think. Repeatedly offering you food that you can't/won't eat isn't a kind gesture.

However, maybe you could bring something in to share with everyone that fits into your eating plan, like a veggie platter or fruit salad? Peace offering vla blah, all the while recognising that they are the ones with an issue.

ive been low carbing for years. its roughest starting a new job - I don't low carb on a Friday. so I always say - I don't eat sugary stuff til Friday
then they say - oh one little one.....blah blah -
and I say - save it for me until Friday!

after about 3 months they all got it and don't even ask me anymore
sometimes they come over - look at me and say " oh sorry its not Friday"

its like a little skit that goes on - but they all know now

I even declined posh sweets from the big big boss - like top boss guy yesterday and said " I don't eat sugar til Friday" he commented on my resolve - and then at lunch time saw my sugary filled croissant and said " ahhhh FRIDAY! haha "

so its a thing

ive had a bit of a rough time recently and turned to sugar - put on a dress size

two solid weeks of being back on the plan and I lot that weight - I wanted to skip round the office screaming I LOST 8LBS EVERYONE - IN 10 DAYS MOTHER FUCKERS - but I didn't

They want you to eat the cake because you not eating it makes them feel guilty for eating it. It's all about them and nothing to do with being helpful to you. Stay strong!

I'm stubborn that's how I'm staying on track. Also my clothes for again and I have a waist so that's keeping me going!
