Cant find my little weightwatchers chart that shows how many points you can have daily if you are a certain weight. Has anybody got one to hand?

I've got a funny feeling it is 30 points for a bloke. Any advance on this?

32 i think.

I have the latest book and you need to work it out based on height, weight, activity levels etc. I havent got it on me but can check and post tomorrow. Its always best to start a diet tomorrow anyway isnt it?

Alibobbles · 04/01/2007 11:44

He's 6ft 2 and I think you could describe his activity levels as sloth-like. Many thanks for that KezzaG

Man - 9pts
34 = +4
17 st = +17

5ft 4 = +2
No activity = +0

= 32

Weight range 11 2 to 13 13

10% - 16st

Alibobbles · 04/01/2007 11:55

Gosh, did you do an Open University course to calculate that! Weve checked his recommended weight using BMI and that gives similar figures. Trouble is he's very broad shouldered like a prop forward and I think if he got down to 13st 3 he would look positively ill!!

BMI is only an indication and can't take into account build - can be misleading say for bodybuilders (but he isn't, you implY!) Also you could try looking for info on healthy waist measurements.

Top weight is 13 13 which is nearly 14 stone.

thats exactly what I was going to look for SueW, thanks. If he is like my dh he will then eat what he wants all day, and then reel it all off to me when it is too late and expect me to add it all up.

Alibobbles · 04/01/2007 12:05

DH is suitably horrified by 13st. He reckons he was 10 yrs old the last time he was 13st

I think those charts are a bit misleading. I lost loads of weight with WW and was in size 10 clothes, but according to them I still was not at my target weight. I honestly think if I had lost more I would have looked ill and never have been able to sustain it. Lol at being aged 10.

I've just found a website called Fatmanslim.com which will hopefully help with SueW's recommendation as its all about a healthy waistline. Afterall, our favourite Sale Sharks player Chabal is 6ft 2 and 18 stone. I cetainly wouldnt like to call him obese. (not to his face anyway)
