OK NEW YEAR NEW DETOX - who is joining me :)

I am plannng on doing a one week detox starting tomorrow and then following this with a few weeks at Slimming World to lose the 7lbs that have come on since I reached target (I knew they would I had to stop running and ate like a pig!!)

However I start tomorrow with one week of the Cabbage Soup Diet - don't knock it til you've tried it! But this thread is just for one week, for those detoxers who are doing any weird and wonderful (maple syrup and cayenne pepper Betty ) diets.

cabbage soup diet This should help with recipe/diet etc. Do look at some of the additional recies from teh message boards as they help make to soup better.

I am planning 2 or 3 days of a 'mediterainian' soup full of garlic, herbs and chopped corriander. Tomorrow I have bags of satsumas, an exotic fruit salad (melon/pineapple/mango) and a bag of apples. Day 2 has loads of veggi sticks inc baby sweetcorn/carrots, cucumber, cherry tomotoes. A big salad with balsamic vinegar/salt/pepper for lunch and jkt potato and steamed veggies for supper. Day 3 will be a combination of the frui salad, salad for lunch, steamed veggies and fruit for supper - PLUS loads of soup all day.

Day 4 always is hard - skimmed milk and bananas (I always go for organic milk as it tastes slightly better, others use a pot or two of natural yoghurt insteasd - I might do this with sliced bananas.

Day 5 being veggie I do eggs, or quorn, or prawns (not strictly veggie) with loads of tomotoes (you can do a wicked spicey prawns with garlic, fresh tomtoes, curry powder and chopped corriander)

Day 6 as day 5 but with more veggies

Day 7 - BROWN RICE and veggies casserole

That little lot will get rid of the Christmas bloat, and with running starting the 2nd week Jan, the next few lbs will go quick (I have a sking holiday on 14th Jan) so I want to lose the 7lbs if poss by then, if not at least 5 of them!!)

Just finished the mince pies 2 with double cream whilst planning the menu for the next week.
Day1 just fruit and veg jacket pot if I get really hungry.
From then on fruit for breakfast with natural yoghurt. Lunch salad or home made soup. Tea home made pasta sauce with brown pasta or fish and veg and a small jacet pot.
Also Dh doing it but not so strict has got a physical job though. Might help with the middle aged mood swings(dh not me!)
I read to keep away from any thing acidic so no orange juice apple juice is better.
Good luck everyone I just want to get to 10 stone something.I have put on 5lb on a least in about a week bugger.

Had 3 bowls of soup yesterday! Ended up making a tomato and veg one as I had no cabbage and shops closed!! No dairy, lots of fruit, a little salmon and a couple of king prawns and managed to avoid bread but fell down with the 3 glasses of rose

Started today with green tea and lemon and a mandarine. Am off to shops now to stock up on healthy detox stuff.
