Dotty, I think that it can be tempting to over analyse it and kind of wait for the triggers to come along so you can purposely quash them?

It's a case of letting your body take the lead and tell you what it needs and when it needs it ie Your body may well be craving glucose so you reach for something sweet - however you have to listen to your body and it will indicate when the need has been sated. So if your take your time with food you know full well you are getting to the point where need is going to be overrided by greed as it were. Have you actually been to hypnosis for weight loss or just read the book? I would thoroughly recommend the actual sessions if there is someone near you who does it.

I also have a certain amount of what they call 'resistance' to the triggers. It's a form of self-sabotage and in the sessions you would address the subconscious reasons why you can't (or don't want to) let go of the weight you are holding onto. Fascinating stuff, if you want anymore info, let me know and I'll post my e-mail.

Hi,
Yes, you're right - it is self sabotage and something I've been pondering for a bit. I've got an idea about why I can't get past the weight I'm at, but I need to address it! Would love to hear a bit more - my e-mail address is lakinson.house at ntlworld dot com

I'm there in the evenings - thanks again for any more info/help you can pass on!

I'll get all the info together from the hypno course I did and get back to you in the week then. Am sure you can get over this hurdle!!!!

My sil was a size 24 when she got married and she looked beautiful. You're not too fat to get married.

My friend got married just over a year ago in a gorgous dress, not sure of the size but it will have been a 24 or thereabouts. There are plenty of bridal shops that do plus size dresses, have a look in your yellow pages or do a google search.

Are you looking for a traditional dress? They can be very flattering you know!

I was a size 16 when I got married so hardly a stick insect. I made my own dress, could you do that?
