Good Winter Diet Food

Autumn is officially here, and it's killing my diet. I don't want to eat salads anymore, just big roast dinners and delicious pies and everything must be made out of potato.

Does anyone have any tips for low calorie, or low carb winter food?

I'm usually super happy with halloumi salads, or avocado salad, or tabbouleh with cauliflower rice, but right now, all I want are roast potatoes.

Soup soup and more soup! Made with lots of veg. Lentils/chickpeas for bulk, maybe with an egg in it. I'm also excited that satsuma season is coming!

Spicy butternut squash soup with a handful of quinoa or cous cous to bulk it up.

Winter food is great! I have a big pot of minestrone Verde soup on the stove now (no pasta). I've made one pot salmon and asparagus, and roast Spanish style chicken this week. All healthy, low ish carb.

Stew is a favourite, cooked in a slow cooker with tons of veg.

Ooh yeah, I should do a chicken. And lamb stew, especially moroccan lamb, is amazing (if I can bring myself to sub cauliflower couscous for the real thing).

Another vote for soups! Curried parsnip I always love when the weather is poop

Cauliflower curry is good, and very low fat/calorie. A Girl called Jack's chickpea and peach curry, is also sunshine in a bowl ! Chorizo and bean casserole is good too, and you only need a minuscule amount if chorizo to get the flavour.

Loads of roasted veg. Roast chicken, pork chops, fish.

Big soups, loads of lentils. Butternut squash, swede instead of potato for Shepherds pie.
