Finding it hard

Started losing weight on May 20th - have lost a stone in 12 days through a calorie controlled diet and daily running. Although I've weighed today, my 'proper' weigh in day is Wednesday. Thing is I find myself eating loads just after weighing in then having to cut back drastically in the last few days before my Wednesday weigh in. Just thought I'd share this with you as I'm finding this afternoon particularly hard.

Have you read a book called intuitive eating? Read the amazon reviews. It makes sense and will avoid what you are going through

I do exactly the same. I joined weight watchers 2 weeks ago, I go to group on Friday morning then spend all day Friday and Saturday eating like a pig and it then takes a few days to get back to my "Friday" weight. If I could control myself and not pig out for two days my losses would be better. I lost 4lb the first week then just 1.5lb the second week. Not bad but could have been bigger losses without the binge eating for two days.

Personally I feel that you should have a couple of relaxed days in a week. If you try to be strict with yourself 24/7 you will just end up falling off the wagon in a big way. By having one or two more relaxed days you are able to keep eating healthily in a sustainably way.
I have seen so many people crash diet and then once they reach their goal just pile it back on (and sometimes more). The successful dieters are the ones that take it at a steady pace and not worry too much about breaking out now and again. To maintain your goal weight it requires a lifestyle shift, not just a diet.
So I would not feel too bad about a couple of days off as long as you are still going in the right direction at the end of the week.
Just my opinion for what it is worth.
