I know, sorry this has probably been done before.

Which is better for logging food? What would I lose weight consistently with?
I'm on a real get fit high at the moment and walking 2 mile a day too aswell as healthy eating.

Thank you Smile

Either would help you lose weight but ...

I'd go for map as it shows the nutritional breakdown too and allows you to enter exercise which then shows as calories burned. Plus it's free and very easy if you have the app as you can scan anything with a barcode.

I don't like ww though as I think their whole concept of 'free' food is just so wrong and an unhealthy mind set. The idea of counting ww points does work though to lose weight. Plus you'd have to buy it. And work out points in foods not in their directory.

Mfp, not map! Maps do not help you lose weight GrinGrin

If you're into walking, get a Fitbit and link it with your mfp app. I've got a Fitbit zip which is the cheaply one and it synchs and shows calories burned.

Aww thanks mrsmiles.
I wouldn't use ww app or go to class as been there and done that and still have extra weight.

I have been using the value diary app but got to thinking about fruit and calories.

Good idea about the fitbit I didn't know you could sync them. I've been using mapmywalk to keep me walking.

Thank you I will check it out Grin

I'm a WW veteran and know all of the values off by heart but found when I switched to value diary that there were a lot of inconsistencies that put me off. If someone wasn't totally familiar with WW and things like the way points are rounded up and down for multiple servings then they wouldn't know that they were pointing incorrectly.

I do like MFP but it's difficult to ensure that you are tracking 100% correctly because the nutritional information is added by other users and isn't always accurate. If you want to count calories I would recommend Nutracheck. It's £3.99 a month for app only access, the database is UK based and maintained by a team of staff and everything you search for appears with a photo of the item so you can be sure that you're selecting the correct thing.
