I am going to start it tomorrow!

I stopped smoking almost 4 years ago using his book and I bloody loved smoking so I have high hopes...

I so need this to work for me, I am sick to death of being the way I am.

Anyone had any success with it?

Wow, no-one has used this book?

The Paul McKenna book seems so popular (I didn't get on with it though?)

I looked at his book on weight loss the other day and thought it good until I looked through it and read that he believes we shouldn't eat meat and shouldn't eat dairy. Put it down straight away. Teaching you how to let go of the dieting mentality and then telling you certain foods are bad\ not meant for us is not the way to go in my opinion. They are personal decisions rightly or wrongly but have no place in helping someone let go of disordered eating. I do Paul McKenna

I did the same Millli. I really wanted to try it, but I just can't buy into anything that says the way I need to loose weight is by just eating fruit and wholegrain carbs. That's basically how I got fat in the first place, believing all that nonsense.

If he'd said 'you can eat anything you want but I am going to train you to hardly want any of anything' then I might have given it a go.

Or if he'd focused on cutting down on processed carbs and sugars and eating 'clean' but across all the food groups.

Cross have you looked at Paul McKenna aka mindfull eating. It's eat what you want whenever you are truly hungry and stopping as soon as satisfied.

Totality22 · 08/04/2015 19:38

Hmmm, makes me not want to bother now.

I love meat (I don't eat it everyday and it's mainly poultry when I do) so feck am I giving that up!

Shame as his smoking book changed my life.

I thought the book was about retraining your mind to read "full signals" / make better food choices etc but not to limit what you actually eat?

Well it does start off that way Total but towards the back he talks about milk being for cows not humans (obviously) and that we should not and are not meant to eat meat nor alcohol or mix starch and protein together.
Here is a good review.

There are many books out there on the same subject ie mindful eating that don't try to tell you what you should eat.
