I always have a lime and soda.

If you want something alcoholic try a gin and slimline tonic.

I think the rule is to go with the clear drinks. So Vodka, Gin rather than dark rum. I could be 100% wrong though. Sorry Im not being that helpful am I?

Thanks couldn't think what might be a good alternative to my usual. Lime and soda might br best as i'm probably going to be giving lifts. I don't like vodka anymore and gin might not be good. Wanted oj but bit heavy for me.

If you are not driving, dry sherry and (slimline) tonic with a twist and ice is delicious and less strong than a G&T. Only 50/60 calories I think. Not everyone likes dry sherry though, my best friend thinks it tastes like pencil shavings. I LOVE IT.

Interesting the sherry idea will try that if I don't have to be the driver.

Low calorie ginger ale is my non alcoholic and 'diet' choice - but not all pubs/restaurants will serve it. Have recently gone back to low cal tonic water - quite nice.

Dry sherry is lovely - but hard to stick to just one small one. Grin
