Has anyone tried the DVD? I tried the class at the gym and loved it, I love fast exercise routines. Also love spin. I recently bought the 30 day shred it's good but I get bored and find it a bit slow.

Has anyone tried it? I'm not sure I'll get a body like the adverts but let's see.

Les Mills is a class
only licenced instructors in licenced premises should have the DVD
it is NOT one to do at home

If you've got access to the DVD then get it to do at home. No experience of it myself but sounds like you enjoy it.

talkinpeace they have produced a Combat DVD range sold through Beachbody so you can do it at home safely.

I absolutely love combat but I changed gyms and the new gym doesn't do it so I am considering buying the DVD set for home.

Like TalkinPeace said, I wasn't aware that Les Mills did DVDs; it's all about gym classes. Body Combat is an awesome class and will improve your cardiovascular fitness no end and tone you up a bit too.

You'll need to do regular toning to look anything like a fitness professional though, and that means more of the Shred type of workout. Slow, yes, but that's how you build muscle.

Ah, just looked it up
its Les mills Combat Workout
NOT the same thing as BodyCombat which is a higher level trainer only class

spookyskeleton · 07/03/2015 22:08

I have watched one of the DVDs on YouTube and the workouts are exactly the same as the ones I did in the gym (same music, same moves etc). It is taught by the creators of Body combat (can't get much highest level than that Grin) so they do teach it exceptionally well including advice on all the different moves etc.

I can't see much difference to a close other than lack of atmosphere.

Great I'll combine the body combat with the 30 day shred. Spooky have you seen the Nestle one? It's 20 mins has about 3 routines, great music and is perfect for fitting in spare time. It prompted me to buy the set from amazon which is £29.95. Talking peace, the instructor led classes are probably more intense but I want to use the DVDs to supplement the classes when I can't get to the gym. I've only done body combat class at the gym but the promotional video looks quite similar in terms of moves.
