Chocolate Downfall.... maybe

So for my birthday i got a box of chocolates - super pralines 56 cals each. I've been eating one every day, but tonight I felt so weird and I felt I needed to finish off the ten that were left. What do I do tomorrow? I feel sick and have a headache and I'm not used to this much sugar....

Flipping 'eck?? that's a lot of chops - respect!!

isitsnowingyet · 11/02/2015 20:23

Chocs I mean

hslsascsas · 11/02/2015 20:27

Yes I know!! I felt like I needed them to live for some reason and that's what made me eat them. I actually could not stop! I'm not sure if it'll do much, because including the chocolates I've still consumed under 1400 calories, but i don't know why I felt I needed to eat them. I know I didn't but I felt I did.

I used to do that when I restricted my diet too much. Binge eating! I couldn't stop myself. Tbf we all over indulge at times, if it's a one off I wouldn't worry :)

hslsascsas · 11/02/2015 20:41

I think that's why... I really haven't been eating a lot and I've deprived myself of sugar. Yes it is a one off. I do hope its okay. I'm aiming to lose a pound every week and I weigh myself Saturdays. Do you have any tips of how to sort my system out? I.e clear it and have a healthy food day tomorrow?

Steer clear of anything with sugar in - including fruit. I've done the 5/2 diet in the recent past, and would just drink lots of decaffinated tea in the afternoon, which felt oddly healthy.

I have just polished off half a pack of tortilla chips with sour cream dip though Blush so you may want to ignore whatever advice I'm doling out.

Silverjohnleggedit · 12/02/2015 07:52

I've restricted my sugar intake and it has caused me to have sugar binges - lesson learned and I am now trying to normalise sugar in my diet despite feeling that's is not really something I want to eat from a health perspective.....I think my binges are probably doing more damage.

Missqwerty · 12/02/2015 19:37

I think when you restrict anything too much it tends to lead to a blow out. I once did secret diet drops diet which 2 as insanely strict. After 15 days I ate three chocolate bars, cake, big slices of home made bread with butter, lots of Harribos and then straight out for an all.you can eat Chinese buffet! It's healthier really to allow yourself a treat sized bar a day and eat it slowly with a cuppa, stops me feeling deprived!

Blondie1984 · 12/02/2015 22:49

Tomorrow you just carry on as normal - and put this down to experience and consider it a blip

hslsascsas · 13/02/2015 19:39

Thanks so much everyone! I woke up the next morning and just carried on as normal and I'm fine!! I think I was worrying too much as I'm one of those people who never really binges. I'm over it now and hopefully it has not impacted my weight - I'm not trying to lose, just maintain.

I'd take it as a warning that you are restricting yourself too much and your body is fighting back, consider allowing yourself a bit more slack.
It's better for your health to get all your calories from normal eating than restricting too much and bingeing.

popcornpaws · 18/02/2015 13:12

I stopped eating all sweets cakes biscuits etc 7 month ago because i am a greedy pig with them and when i start i don't stop.
I don't think your body craves sugar at all, your mind does!
Do not look at it as depriving yourself, look at it as doing yourself a kindness by not filling your body with rubbish!
