MFP - working out my activity level

I have put myself down as lightly active' as I thought it's better to under instead of over estimate. However, a friend who is far less active than me has put the same. I think we have different ideas as to what constitutes as 'active' so, for curiosity's sake, can you tell me what yours is and how you decided?
(I don't have a car so walk everywhere, although that is often 20 min bursts with DS who's toddling, I have a dog who I take out three to four - usually four - times a week for one to two hours a day, and I live in a valley is it generally means steep hill walking for at least some of it, I'm a SAHP so don't have the option of sitting at a desk but am instead often on the go one way or another.)

I put sedentary - far better to under than overestimate, and mfp worked for me.

I do all the housework, walk around 45 mins a day (to bus stop and back, between meetings at different ends of town etc), but do sit at my desk for 8ish hours a day.

In addition, I exercise around an hour a day, most days, and then add that on afterwards as cardio exercise, depending upon what I do.

In your situation I'd put sedentary as your activity level and then log your walks as "exercise" afterwards.
