How much weight loss is reasonable?

I'm 5ft4, and 9 stone 8. Had second child 4 months ago. Heaviest I've ever been. I'm starting hairy dieters tomorrow.
How much weight loss is reasonable? What is a good target? 1lb a week? Any tips?

I'm 5ft 5 and 9.6
I will be happy at 9-9.3
I feel anything less is too thin for me now I am 40.
I need to be strong for my 4 dc
I'm hoping to be that weight in the next few weeks but maintain it for our February break on 7th.

At 5:2 I was aiming for 9 stone, which is slim but not thin for me. Can you remember a tome in the past that you felt good and what your weight was. I think 1-2 lbs a week would be sensible, especially if bfing
.

Recommended, sustainable weight loss is 1-2lbs a week.

Your BMI is just shy of 23, which is within the healthy weight range. But If you have very small wrists, and are generally smaller framed, then you may want to aim for the lower end of your healthy BMI. If you lost 5-6kg (6kg is roughly a stone), then you will still be in your healthy weight range (BMI of 20.62).

But go easy on yourself as well - you only had a baby a few months ago.

You might find it really helpful to try and do regular exercise and resistance training, which would help to tone up your body. You can get lots of free workouts on you tube, so no need to buy anything.

Although I appreciate that might be easier said than done with a baby in the house!

I'm 5'3" and the same weight 7m post natal, and I feel pretty good at this weight ( down from 11st3) but am aiming for 9 stone. 1lb a week is very do-able. I've found MFP v useful for logging calories, just having to enter it in makes me think twice whether I need that chocolate biscuit or not.

1lb a week is sustainable

the thing to aim for is lean and toned rather than any particular weight as different skeleton shapes support different muscle builds

Thanks yes I do have a small frame so I think my natural weight should be under 9 stone. Weight seems to be fluctuating a bit. Yesterday I was 60kg

I look best at a BMI of 20, I'm tall but I'm an hourglass, so I'm unlikely to ever look skinny because my boobs and butt will always give me shape. I aim to lose 2lbs a week. Recent studies have shown that for success in maintaining rate of loss is surprisingly irrelevant, the thing that will stop you gaining is the control you exert with you stop trying to lose weight, so you either need to re-educate your tastebuds or have a high level of self control.

For me it's my sweet tooth!
