Has anyone tried this? I have just seen it advertised in She and looked at their website (thedietplate.com) and thought it might be good for DH (and me,post pregnancy), but before shelling out I thought I would ask you guys first.

bit pricey isn't it?

The theory is good and I could probably do with one myself! But how about buying a smaller normal plate than you've already got and mentally drawing lines on it when dishing up dinner? It should be something like half the plate for veg a quarter for proteins like meat etc and a quarter for carbs.

Good God that's expensive! I've swapped to using a side plate and making sure I put more veg on my plate than usual, and less of everything else. For breakfast I have about half my usual amount. You don't need a diet plate, just start using a smaller plate and depending on what your portions used to be like (mine were enormous!) make them smaller.
