I have worked so hard since birth of dd. Managed to loose 2 stone. However I seem to be stuck on the same weight now for 6/8 weeks. Help please! I just can't get down further

Hi Chloe
Firstly 2 stone is amazing - well done. What did you do to lose that and has anything changed in the last few months? Do you need motivation to stick better to your previous plan or something different to shake things up?
10lb by Christmas sounds totally achievable - averaging 1lb a week would get you there.

I am 4m PP with baby 3, have lost 18lb so far and 13lb to go. I would love to be at target by the time I turn 40 in 2 months, but am aware I'll probably have to be happy with nearly there. I'm doing Mutu system which is core exercises and HIIT, plus encourages 'clean eating' and also 3 sessions a week at vibrocise gym and a lot of walking. I did well initially then got stuck for a while, but got back on it with the help of the 1st September thread and lost half a stone last month. Come join in if you like, or there's an October challenge just started....

Thanks for your response. I already do HIIT training. Maybe I'm not eating right then. I do gym 4/5 nights a week and get on on my bike about twice a week.
Have you got any healthy eating tips?

I'm just eating 3 meals a day, no processed food, no sugar except in fruit, only having fruit if I need a snack. Swapped to whole grain pasta/rice and very little bread. Trying to have at least a third of each meal as fruit/veg. I'm breastfeeding, which probably helps - just need to avoid eating the BF calories as cake!
It's loosely SW as that worked for me after baby 2, but I haven't rejoined. The ladies on here are a bit of moral support to stay on the straight and narrow.
Have you tried doing your measurements? Sometimes if you are exercising a lot you lose inches but not pounds.

I just found an app called 7 minute work out might try that everyday too! Really wish I could afford that insanity work out!

Do you still have 10lbs to lose or are you at your ideal weight?
If you are at your ideally weight, exercising and eating healthily then you should be in the maintaining phase -maybe you don't realise you've reached it?
If so-lucky you!

Have you seen the MyFitnessPal app? It's a way of getting your smartphone to count calories for you - you can scan barcodes of things you eat or type them in and look them up, and any exercise you do is added on to how many calories you're allowed that day. Really simple, helped me see where my extra calorie intake was coming from but without banning any foods or anything, I've found it really useful.

(Disclaimer I don't work for them or anything! Grin)

BiscuitsAreMyDownfall · 06/10/2014 07:21

Isn't the insanity workout on YouTube? I might be wrong, but I thought I heard it was.

I couldn't get on with my fitness pal, it was hard to figure out the calories of cooked meals. Having to try to find out all the calories of every ingredient. It's too much of a faff.

bakingtins · 06/10/2014 07:38

I found the same with MFP, biscuits , I'm trying to minimise anything processed and it was a PITA trying to input home cooked meals.

catsofa · 06/10/2014 13:05

With home cooked stuff I took a pretty vague approach and found e.g. Asda Ready To Eat Root Veg Mash and just input that instead of adding up all the veg I'd mashed myself. Some stuff I just plain guessed, it was fine if it stopped me eating an extra 500 or 600 calories in evening snacks, not that bothered if it was 50 calories out for my main meal.

I use that too I just over estimate!
