Am finding it really hard atm to stay with it although i actually do enjoy following it. Have just started weaning ds and mealtimes are frankly traumatic and atm its easier for me (and my sanity) if i throw a pizza in the oven a throw a salad together for tea rather than have to think about Green and Red days. Really want to stick with it - please help me!

for green day try quick and easy meal of baked potato done in the microwave, add some coleslaw the healthy one from iceland is only 3sins for 100g and cottege cheese from there is free ,or use there half fat cheese 42g and use as an A choise, or beans, free
very easy dinner and filling, i normaly leave mine cooking while i feed the baby,

lol, it's the same reason I gave up on SW and went onto slimfast but I am going to go back on it soon as dd now feeding herself, after a fashion.

Pasta is a bit of a main stay with me tbh. I make quorn bolognaise in bulk and freeze and just take out what I need. Also started making a veg and lentil curry. You could just as easily put some fish in the oven and have that with salad? Is this just for you or are you wanting to make the same for the family?

Sorry have only just seen this. Did you know you can do mix 2 match which means you can have 3 meals a day green or red it's in your book if you are eating anything with syns in you just count which ever has the most syns for that item ie green or red. That way you don't have to think about if you're on a green or a red day.
A recipe I make (green and free) which the whole family love which is really easy is quorn sausage and baked bean pie. Spray the sausages with fry light and grill them cut them up and place in bottom of an oven dish, fry some onion in fry light and boil some potatoes and mash them put a can of baked beans over the sausages place your onion on top of that then slice 42 g of half fat cheese put this on top (use this as your HE) and then top with mash stick in the oven on about 180 until mash turns golden. It's really tasty wholesome food (I use the quorn cumberland sausages that they sell in tesco because imo they're nicer).

Another healthy green recipe is chilli bean pie:
Fry some onion in fry light add a tin of tomatoes a tin of Hienz baked beans in sweet chilli and a tin of kidney beans let it simmer a bit. Mean while slice some potatoes thinly and par boil. stick mixture in oven dish cover with sliced potatoes and stick in oven at 180 till potatoes look crisp. My dd and dp love this and have it with sour cream and cheese , I just use my HE cheese and put that on top this recipe is free on green as well.

i know what you mean about your 4 year old,im veggitarian doing SW and i have 8 year old ds (who eats meat and everything) 4 year old dd who is picky about everthing she eats, and a 4 mounth old ds. no dp though so dinner times can be mad hear to. but try to stick to it its relly inportant that you do something for your self and dont just be a bisy mum 24/7 i know SW dosent seem like doing something for your self but as baby weight comes off it makes u feel good about u dosent it? some times i think us mums kind of loose our selfs cos we r to bisy looking after our broods,
could you do meal plans ahed of time or something? or maybe prepare food earlyer and then just cook it or heat it at dinner time? anouther idea i sometimes do when feeling theres not enough houers in the day is to cook loads extra and freeze some.

dislexicicecream · 24/09/2006 15:27

oops, didnt read wat was said by delgirl, about freezing stuff,
grate minds think alike

dislexicicecream · 24/09/2006 15:30

anouther thing i had to do cos my dd and her pickyness was to ban the kids from my kictchen while i was cooking, try giveing dd a coulering book or a drink and the tv for a while and tell her not to come in to the kictchen while mummy is cooking, then you can get on with it in peice for a bit.
