Hi Robin

Didn't see this sorry. Malt loaf has a GI of 59 so I think that probably wouldn't be great, unless it was a particularly low sugar brand. And Ryvita has a GI of 63 so that's probably out too. Sorry!
How's it going? I'm still battling those last 10 pounds on and off (I never get it all off but sometimes I don't bother battling them ). I'm calorie counting as well as trying to stay fairly low GI although less strict than if I wasn't calorie counting. No-one else much seems to be doing GI at the minute.

It's going well thanks Saker. I think I lost 5lbs in the first week but I know that the first week is always like this. It's much much harder when you're close to target as you are.

Gained a stone and half during second pregnancy and my baby is only 3 months old. The problem is I'm back at work and simply can't do my trousers up at the top! It's such a hassle being big and having to plan every outfit. I've concluded it's easier to loose weight than it is to face a lifetime of worrying about the size of my bum and trying to find outfits that look ok.

Where's everyone else gone or have they all reached their goal weight?

Hi Robin,

I thought I replied to this already, but it seems to have disappeared. It sounds like you are doing really well. I read somewhere that your body tends to hang on to the baby fat for a few months in case you need it for another baby but that it starts to come off naturally around 6 months after the birth. I have no excuses really - I think part of the problem of being close to target is that you feel like you look okay so it's harder to stay motivated for so long. I go through endless cycles of dieting, blowing it, putting on a few pounds and starting again. It's pathetic really .

I don't know what's happened to everyone else. The other thread just sort of petered out partly because I think we were all letting it drift a bit. I hope it goes well for you.

Saker,

Feeling very motivated again....lost 8lbs in two weeks so I'm ecstatic. Like last time I reckon it's all going on my legs and bum and the trickly bit will be the spare tyre. I'm sure you're right about the pregnancy weight. Just got to keep going. Thanks for replying.
