When you diet should you be looking for foods with low fat, low sugar or low carbs?
Can anyone explain the basics please?

So surely just eating fruit, veg, fish and meat as nature has provided them (cooked of course) without adding anything would be the most natural way to eat. If we eat them in their natural state, like fatty fish and pork chops with the fat on and steak with fat on and same with bacon and chicken then we are getting the fats we are meant to without needing to add processed olive oil or other added fats.

And eggs of course.

Well yes, I'd say so Doit Smile - though adding cold pressed (ie minimally processed, close to natural state) oils can be beneficial if you aren't getting enough other sources of EFA's.

Yes in the case that you are deficient it is better to take oils in their natural state rather than anything in tablet/capsule form. Its like making a curry for instance. If you are organised enough (im not) then you would have a good fatty chicken stock at the ready which gives it flavour and richness and fats . That's the trouble with chicken breasts. No fat so little flavour and you have to add oil to give the dish back some delicious flavour that only fats can give. If you see what I mean lol.
