well done Coddy - gives me hope (only lost about 5 lbs so far..)

Janstar · 11/03/2004 14:18

Never mind Kayleigh, my dh thinks you are pretty anyway.

Kayleigh · 11/03/2004 15:17

oh Janstar ((blush))

Your dh is lovely. Does he have bad eyesight ?

CountessDracula · 11/03/2004 15:46

Coddy re this WW thing, I know I dismissed it before but am trying SW and tbh is too bloody complicated and restrictive.

I did try WW but didn't get far, prob because I didn't join a group but did it online. Is it really the group thing that makes the difference?

There is one round the corner but is at 6.30 on a Monday and I can't guarantee I'll always be able to make it. Do they mind if you are a bit sporadic?

They charge now for missed weeks Im afraid It does work though if you go to meetings

Coddy · 11/03/2004 16:19

depends on your leader.
My deal was that i stayed for the post weigh in chat for the 1st week and thereafter only if I dint lose (as a punishment)!!

CD if you cut out bread and alcohol and eat nore veg you cna lose

My day would be :
Breakfast - bran flakes anda banana

lunch - crackers adn philadelphia light and pickle - or soup or a egg/tuna salad and dressing (eaten out of a huGE Pyrex bowl)

Supper - Grilled fish/chicken and LOADS of veg (no spuds)Or pasta and tomato sauce or stir fry but hardly any noodles and a glass of wine every so often. I ate a lot more fish and seafood - crab linguine was great

Its the snacking thats hard to stop adn does account for a LOT of cals

I got abook called the "TOp 200 Low cal recipes" from book people online and its had delicious and realistic recipes - tonight is Greek lamb casserole and veg for me and a baked spud for dh

Top 200 low fat recipes by Judith Wills

also did the crab linguine out of it and a chicken and peper in flat tortillas dish and baked chicken with raosted veg and gremolata.

roasted veg and a meat/fish staek is a great and flavoursome meal.

Remember tomato sauces have "no" cals too

Well done Coddy. You should be v proud of yourself. I need to lose a couple of pounds (I keep saying this) but I am finding it so hard to discipline myself. You are right about the snaacking - so hard to stop. And I've given up smoking!

Angeliz · 11/03/2004 16:28

Well done Coddy+

Coddy · 11/03/2004 16:29

shall we have a anti snacking club?!!. you cna onfes your snacks to me and I will punish you all.

Fish fingers are the worse

OP posts:
CountessDracula · 11/03/2004 16:31

Blimey would never consider snacking on a fishfinger! I snack on cheese and muffins!

Actually am usually pretty good. Did lose 3 stone after steriod weight gain in 7 weeks once and kept it off for 3 years (until had to go onto steriods again) but was in the gym 3 times a week religiously and can't do at the mo.

Moan, groan, just shut up and stop eating so much!

and CONGRATULATIONS CODDY!

CountessDracula · 11/03/2004 16:32

OK food diary continues

Starving by 6pm so small bowl of grape nuts and skimmed milk

1/3 of a waitrose Shepherds Pie (comfort food!) with peas, broccoli and french beans (the pie is not too bad, I think 300 cals and 12g fat for 1/3)

Muller light toffee yoghurt
