Considering buying the Paul Mckenna weight loss system, please give me your thoughts anyone who's tried it.

I can't really afford £40 plus on something that's all hype and won't work but am desperate to lose weight and have zero motivation or willpower. I know I'm hopeless.

Please anyone give me your thoughts.

Have you tried looking on eBay to see if anyone has a 2nd hand copy? I must confess, I bought mine for a tenner or thereabouts - but as I have no willpower, it is still in the bottom of the wardrobe!! (I did start to listen, but you cannot listen when driving, and you do need to have time to listen to the CDs on your own in peace - when does that happen???)

There's a thread here about it, but it hasn't been posted on in a while. Might give you some info, though.

I think there is a lot in what he says and living with a naturally thin person I really see it but there is one big flaw in his approach. It's not practical and this I see living with a naturally thin person. The big thrust is eat when you are hungry but that is opten difficult to do. If I ma not hungry at lunchtime in the offfice and wait for hunger to strike I will no doubt be in a meeting that I can't get out of or if I don't eat breakfast a powerful hunger will take over on the train on my way to work.

My DP usually only eats when hungry and as a consequence he eats at midnight or at really inopportune time and there is no stopping his hunger when he gets it. He become very demanding regardless of the time of day or what we are doing e.g. he will feed himself rather than the children.

yes listening to it alone would be difficult, I've never got peace with my 2.

any other thoughts?

I brought this on ebay (as good as new) for £8. It is fab. Really really good. I find his techniques (especially craving buster) excellent. I dont use it just on its own though - so not sure about that - I am doing another diet - but am using Paul mckenna for all the psychological stuff!

I do the same as Emily05. I use the Paul McKenna system for looking at the psychological aspect of eating and the techniques for getting ris of cravings (they really work!) I am combining it with eating 3 meals a day. I generally just eat when I am hungry but sometimes this is not possible, ie If I meet someone for lunch. When I was just doing Paul McKenna I felt like I was constantly eating (I think I took it too literally).
