Hello all,

If you have managed to lose your last stone after DC's, please let me know know how you did it.

My last DC was born 1 year ago so I should have my exact pre-baby sexy Body back by now (LOL!!).

I would like to weigh less. I eat only when Im hungry, stop when Im full, avoid Wheat, try to keep my food healthy, eat low Carbs e.t.c However, Wine is my Vice : )

I'd love to hear from people whose weight refused to budge & who found a revelation of some description.

How did you lose that last stone? Was it agony? Was it worth the pain?

I'm 9 stone 10 and losing the last half stone to get here was initially tricky. I finally managed it in the space of a fortnight by ...

No white carbs at all.
No alcohol
Three meals a day - no snacks
1200 calories max a day
Only eating complex carbs once a day - usually a porridge based breakfast.

If you follow Zoe harcombes 5 day initial attack then you'll lose a minimum of 5lbs in that time so that's a good boost

I'm not a low carber by the way- I more believe in a moderate 80/20 approach but there is no denying that cutting out bread and pasta is the way forward to get the lbs shifting

Hi Cherry

Appreciate your advice. Well done for losing the weight as I know how annoying it gets when you only have the last 10lbs to lose.

Im going to try Zoe harcombes 5 day initial attack and see how it goes.

All the best

Cherry that is good advice... Sounds a lot like the ZH plan.

I thought that LCing would magic the last stone away for me... I lost 4-6lb I felt great on it but have found it hard to sustain. My youngest is 7 and I am cross and disappointed in myself that I haven't been able to shift the last stone. Ever.

Monday is my day to start Zoe, do you want to chat as we go BigDom? I've been reading her book and I like her words. I also think it will fit well with family meals. Drawing a grocery list as we speak and will empty all sugary crap out of cupboard when DCs are at football.

Good luck!

Do you exercise?

thekitchenfairy · 11/11/2013 05:33

Yes, I do. I run for 45 minutes a couple times a week and strength at the gym 1-2 times a week.

Hello fairy and BigDom

So I have lost almost 2 stone very very slowly over the past couple of years (not part of a master plan, just through lack of commitment to giving up eating/drinking) but have hit a major plateau with the last stone… and don't live in UK anymore so am totally out of touch with new eating plans etc (though I did see Michael Moseley's Horizon programme on a plane recently)…

I consequently have no clue about Zoe Harcombe, LC-ing etc but would love a virtual kick up the still too large arse from fellow empathisers! Am pretty good with the exercise but fairly inactive apart from that on a day-to-day basis, and enjoy the odd few glasses and LOVE most food. Would love to hear your advice and would very much appreciate general support, but most of all motivation to step away from the bloody fridge!

Off to google Ms Harcombe now. And avoid the kitchen….

I'm also stuck on that last stone / 10lb. Just cannot shift it. I don't really exercise so maybe that's the problem but even when i stick to 1200cal for weeks on end I lose 1-2lb at most.

Thinking of something drastic like a boot camp but don't know..:/
