Slimming World Question

I joined SW a few weeks ago and so far I am doing quite well. I have previously been on WW but since moving I do not have access to a WW class and so I decided to join SW.

My only problem with the diet is the class. At WW the class was great, we had a topic selected by the leader every week and I really felt I went home a bit wiser and motivated about the diet. At SW all we seem to do is go through everyones losses and gains and after the first couple it becomes very tedious.

Don't get me wrong I appreciate how hard it is to loose weight and the fact that people are doing well is great. I also appreciate that some weeks are harder than others and a gain here or there is demotivating (is there such a word?!) and sometimes you need a little nudge to get you back on the diet but do we need to go through every single person? Is this the norm?

Wouldn't we be better having a teaching session on some part of the diet? Every now and againwe have a tasting session which is great but it really is occasionally. Should I talk to my leader about this or is this how SW classes are?

Our class ususally has either a taster, talk or a quiz but I think some consultants are just better or more organised than others. I am pretty sure they are supposed to do something every week so maybe you could talk to your consultant about how you feel you would benefit from more 'image therapy' as they call it.

That sounds much mmore interesting, maybe I will go and talk to her then. I just don't want to pay my money get weighed and leave. I can do that at home!

Yes, it doesn't seem like you are getting your moneys worth. Hope things go well.
