Feeling faint

I started calorie counting today combined with healthier eating and I felt so faint earlier on like I was about to black out. Im worried that I'm doing something wrong :(

I ate around 1500 calories (so not ridiculously low) so I don't think its that. Normally though I eat three packets of biscuits a day (I know I know) so could my body be missing the sugar? I've made sure to maintain my caffeine to avoid having a reaction to that so all I can think now is it was the sugar.

How do I eat healthier if the lack of sugar does this to me? I'm a LP so quite frightened of blacking out while in sole charge of a toddler :/

what have you actually eaten?

I had cereal with full fat milk for breakfast, veggies and some pizza for lunch, an apple and banana for snacks, and more veggies with toad in the hole for tea. And then that's when I felt really faint and odd so I had some more cereal. So not the most healthiest of meals (apart from the veggies!) I suppose so maybe that's why?

lack of protein then IMO!

are you vegetarian? (not that that's a problem, i am too, but i won't suggest meat if you are :-) )

i saw an article recently about how people who have more calories for breakfast and fewer for dinner lose more weight. which makes sense as you'll be burning them off during the day whereas if you eat in the evening you're more likely to sit around/go to bed afterwards.

so I would go for a slightly more substantial breakfast with a light lunch and dinner. poached egg on toast or porridge or something will fill you up for breakfast and keep you going longer.

Try having full fat natural yogurt (Lidl Greek yogurt is lovely and does not require sweetening) with fruit and seeds strirred in. Keeps you full so you don't want to eat rubbish, and is good for you too.
