Coping with not feeling full...

I'm on day three of CC and even on 1800 cals + 500 for Bf and eating back any exercise cal earned I'm still never full. I'm not hungry, but I LOVE feeling full and feel deprived if I'm not full. I think about food all day, what/when can I eat next. I don't want to do SW as I can't control my portions. I have about 3 stone to lose but want to do it slowly so hopefully it will stay off. How do you mentally manage hunger or not feeling full?

I'm on the 5:2 diet long term, and on "starving" days, when I don't eat from 6pm one day till 6pm the next day, I drink lots of tea as that takes the edge off the hunger.

If you're on 2,300 calories a day, tbh you're not likely to lose any weight; you may as well wait until you've stopped BF and go on 5:2.

I'm a total tea addict! Trying to get used to tea without the biscuits at the moment...
I thought I'd start very slowly! Haha! Get used to recording on MFP and what normal portions look like before reducing my calories. I set my target as 0.5lb a week loss. Having said that, I haven't entered my breastfeeding cals yet today, will see if I can manage without today. 11.00am, snack time!! Woohoo!!

I would have thought that you could lose weight on 2300 cals whilst breastfeeding. Maybe try eating more protein rich foods, increasing your fluid intake and increasing exercise. Also try and have regular snacks, maybe try and include small amounts of some of the foods that you feel deprived of if you can't eat them. Also, goes against the grain but I find that eating ready meals helps me to control my weight, as it is easy to monitor calorie intake and portion size. You could also try that Asda (most supermarkets do them) pots of soup that can be done in the microwave, lots of them are around the 200 calorie mark for a whole pot. Good luck

I have ready meals for calorie counting sometimes.

OP you have onlu just started. You will get used to it. And I now find I feel too full if I eat more
I also don't eat the exercise calories. I eat some of them but most of them I don't.

Hi. Thanks for the replies. I'm going to reset MFP to maintain my weight. DD has been unsettled whilst feeding and feeding much more frequently day and night. I'm not sure but wonder if its dropped my supply a bit. I was eating a LOT of cake before! Ill eat more healthy type food and at least try not to gain any more weight and see how that goes for a few weeks.

It may just be the weather making her thirsty. Unless you are exercising really hard that is plenty of calories. I am exclusively breastfeeding and at 1500 calories a day I maintain my weight (have 2 stone to lose).

I save my calories for the evening as I hate going to bed feeling hungry, can cope with hunger pangs in the day.
