Another week then!!!

Ball last night was fantastic although I did eat lots (and drank too)!. I did well during the day and only had 6 points running up to it, and I did save a few points during the week but definitely went over. I will have to work really hard this week!

Food was lovely though:
Black marlin on crushed new potatoes
Spinach and nutmeg soup
Veggie tartlets on rosti potato
Sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce (I know!!! But lovely )
Coffee and chocolate

To dink:
Champagne
1/2 bottle of wine
Baileys

Not going to work out the points!!! I did dance thouh and had to work home and up the stairs when got back - does that count?

Have friends staying tonight too so more alcohol.

BTW, I felt really great in my dress, and was told so too Was going to take a photo but forgot Might have to get dressed up again just to do it!

want a tesco allday breakfast now

Demented · 08/02/2004 23:01

Lisa, I'm afraid I had eaten all that before your suggestion of tinned fruit, I thought I'd better not compound things by eating that too!

I am going to be very good tomorrow though, I have a very restrained day's eating planned, just got to see if I can stick to it.

Did I mention we went out for dinner last night, DH cooked me bacon and eggs on Saturday morning and I had a whole bottle of red wine and half a bagette on Friday night. I doubt I will lose any weight this week and if I do I don't deserve to!

Kayleigh · 09/02/2004 09:47

You never know Demented, you may have accidently found the next diet craze after Atkins. You can call it "Demented Dieting". If you lose weight this week I for one will become an avid follower

melsy · 09/02/2004 13:39

Hi Kayleigh

BTW , I have lost 3-4 lbs this weekend and still dropping, just from dodgy tummy & no dieting. It is Yeurch though. I want my mum and my bed

Kayleigh · 09/02/2004 13:49

Melsy, I would guess a tummy bug on top of every thing else was the last thing you needed, even if you are losing weight
I hope you are feeling better soon and can make next months meet-up. Would love to see you again.

marthamoo · 09/02/2004 14:12

I have a fatty bum,
I have a fatty tum,
I don't know where my willpower's gone,
I am a fatty Mum

lilibet · 09/02/2004 16:05

Hello all, Feeling very fat and frumpy today. Very wobbly thighs and overhanging belly!

Hulababy, what was your dress like? I'm so jealous!

What are you all eating? I'm trying to do green days, but am either going out a lot for meals or am havign poeple round - very difficult.

Anyhow, dp and I are going to see Billy Brag on the 21st March and I would like to go in my jeans, which I think would need a weight loss of a stone (aaarrgghhhh) its five weeks off, so its not impossibe, but my aim of loosing 1lb a week since the begining of January has gone down the pan, that is unless we are still at the 8th of January

Going to go and run up and down stairs a few times and feel the house shake!

Hulababy · 09/02/2004 20:27

Go for it lillibet - I have lost 12 pound in 5 weeks so it is possible.

OP posts:
Hulababy · 09/02/2004 20:30

lillibet - I got my dress new, especially as an incentive to keep losing weight, and managed to get a size 10! It was black, ankle length, very thin sleeves, loosly fitted, lowish at the back, has small peep-hole at front with a tie above it. Was silk underneath, with like a thin, see through chiffon-y type covering. I am rubbish at describing things. Maybe I should have just taken a picture! Oh, and over the top I had a pink-purple wrap.

I just seem to have no willpower. What spurs you on?

lilibet · 09/02/2004 20:34

Sounds gorgeous btw, and a TEN!!!!!

marthamoo · 09/02/2004 20:35

Hulababy - it sounds gorgeous. And a size 10 - I am so jealous.

Hulababy · 09/02/2004 20:39

I know - so pleased, and felt fab - of only for a night! No, seriously I can now tell I have lost weight. May say same this week though after the huge meal at the ball (and the pudding!) but it doesn't matter. My target is to lose another stone but that is primarily for my summer holiday in August - so pressue is off a bit. Am determined to saty on track though.

I find it a bit easier as Dh is doing it with me. And I do get a buzz when I weigh myself and find I have lost weight too. And I just feel better about myself too. I will be able throw away the magic knickers completely

Isnt it a lovely feeling Hula, I am soooo nearly into my old clothes just a few more pounds now.I reached my 10% target and that was withought dieting. The only upside to a VERY disgusting 4 days of a bug. If I can am going to continue Brat diet for one more day and then gradually increase food.

Kayleigh , yes it would be great to meet up again. have we agreed on one in March???

lilibet · 10/02/2004 13:15

Hula, if you're a size 10, why do you want to loose another stone?

lilibet · 10/02/2004 13:15

Melsy, whats brat diet?

melsy · 10/02/2004 13:22

B ananas
R ice
A pples
T oast

melsy · 10/02/2004 13:22

It is only recommended for stomach bugs and the few days following.

Kayleigh · 10/02/2004 13:26

Melsy, think we decided second monday of each month - so that would make march 8th. We could meet very close to you if you don't want to go too far and I am happy to pick you up if you don't want to drive.
Post on the meet-up thread nearer the time. XX

melsy · 10/02/2004 13:30

Thanks Kayleigh , will put it in my diary.

Fizog · 10/02/2004 13:32

I've been very good this week.

I joined a gym last Thursday and have done a body balance class and have been swimming and I'm going swimming again today.

Unfortunately though, I had my induction today and the trainer told me that I probably, realistically, won't lose that much weight but I will continue with this and if I don't loose weight - well I'll blame him!

Hulababy · 10/02/2004 13:46

lillibet - I want to be a consistent size 10, rather than borderline with size 12. I am only 5 foot but weigh more than I ought to for that height. And I want a flat tummy!

OP posts:
Demented · 11/02/2004 19:58

How is everyone tonight? Getting nervous for the big weigh-in?

I have been almost saintly the last few days and would be delighted just to be the same weight as last week (all thoughts of diet hit the wall at the weekend) but will have to wait and see, I hope I haven't put any on. AF is due and I always put on a pound or two then.

Has anyone else found that whenever they try to lose weight they suddenly gain a social life? Or do you just notice it more? This weekend we have relatives for dinner on Saturday night and a night-out on Sunday, I am going to try to behave because I really have to get some of this lard off.

Hulababy · 11/02/2004 20:01

That is so right! Since being on a diet we have been busy every single weekend, socialising and therefore eating and drinking. I have to be so good during the week to cope with the weekends. This week I have my birthdy - tomorrow so hope weigh in is good news - so going out again, and then have champagne for Valentines.

Not sure if I will have lost this week as I ate so much at the ball, and then again with friends on Satursday. Not to mention the drinking...

Hello! Can I join, belatedly?
I've been doing WW for a week now, and lost 2-3 pounds in the first 'power' week of low points, so v.proud of myself though I know its early days yet! I want to lose a stone before trying for a second baby in the summer, so thats my incentive... I'm not actually going to the WW meetings, just using my sisters points book, so it would be great to chat with you guys. Not if you've all bonded as a group and don't want a newbie though - and I won't be offended!
