Online dietary assessment and recommendations from a dietitian - would you?

I'm hoping for some advice on whether anyone would consider using such a service.

I am a dietitian with 12 years experience (mainly in the NHS). I've 3 children under 6, and would really love to be back working again, however, finding an NHS part time job to fit in around school runs is near impossible.

I love my job and seeing the difference that a change in diet can make to people's lives is wonderful.

Here's my question: would anyone here consider using an online dietary advice service? Briefly, it would involve a health and lifestyle questionnaire, what your goals are, and a three day food diary. I would make a report with an nutritional analysis of the diary, and, taking in to account your individual goals, make recommendations tailored to you.
Email contact for any questions you may have would also be included.

I think the great thing about doing it online is that you have no appointments to keep, or have to go anywhere. I know that I find it really hard to fit my own appointments in around all that goes on with the children (have been meaning to arrange an essential dental appointment for myself for, erm, 4 months!)

I'd love to hear your opinions and thoughts as to whether you would find it useful for you to achieve your health/weight goals.
Thanks x

this is something I have been trying to find for ages. I would love to be able to to contact you please let me know if you decide to go ahead. Perhaps you could use me as a test case!!

I'd be really interested in that I have eating issues and my eating is fairly disordered. However I'm not sure if I could afford it and it would be scary to pay out without knowing if it could help if you know what I mean?

Some form of dialogue (by email?) would help too with the chance to ask questions I guess.

Thanks roses and brillig for you responses, very much appreciated! I was really surprised that when I google searched 'online assessment by dietitian', I got very little. Unfortunately, access to a registered dietitian via the NHS can be difficult, so this seems like a really good option for many people? I have 12 years experience in adults and children's nutrition, so can advise on both.

I love what I do, and would like to be able to share how great a change in diet can make you feel. There is so much confusing and conflicting advice out there.

The assessment would include: medical and lifestyle questionnaire, 3 day food diary and what your individual goals are. My assessment would not be computer generated, but carried out by me taking in to account the info you've provided. Good idea brillig about the email contact for any questions. If there are any medical issues, with your permission, I would communicate with your GP.
Freelance dietitians normally charge £70-£130 per hour. I thought this online service should be about £50 (brillig, do you think that is reasonable?)

If anyone is interested, I have a blog with lots of info on healthy eating for weight loss and general health, as well as from a sports/exercise nutrition perspective: www.sarahdietitian.com (sorry MN if this isn't in the spirit of posting here, please remove if inappropriate!)
