I'm going to start Weight Watchers tomorrow - any tips?

Weight has crept up and up over the last few months, and I just need to have a disciplined push for a few weeks to get me back into good habits. So I registered for WW online, but I've found it a bit confusing TBH. I haven't been able to get my app loaded on my phone, so how will I be able to calculate points when I'm travelling out and about? For example, if I need to buy a M&S sandwich on a lunchtime?

Also, any good recipes you like, tips on what work, sites I should be looking at etc? Please help - I've announced to everyone that I'm doing this (and coughed up the money!) so don't want to fess up that I failed because it was too confusing Blush

Hi Former. There is a ww thread already if you'd like to join. Can't link because I'm on my phone (and even if I wasn't I'm not sure how to do it) There are a few newbies who have just joined and it's really supportive.

I started in January and the I found the first few days really mind boggling and a bit stressful while I got my head round it. After the initial few days It was loads easier and I'm finding it really good.

I don't use the website much be aide out laptop is broken and mostly use the app so probably not the best person to ask about calculating points. I use my phone, without an actual points calculator that you can buy I'm guessing you have to use the website.

I found it easier to eat homemade food for the first few days so I could keep could keep track. I would really agree with keeping track of everything you eat (this is what they tell you to do) as it really makes you think about everything you put in your mouth.

Once you've got your head round it, it's really straight forward. Starting is the hardest bit. If you stick to it, it does really work Grin

Thanks backinaminute - I'm 3 days in and so far finding it quite hard going. I'm not used to self denial, hence the need for a diet! Will start lurking on the thread you mention Smile
