Got a deal of weight to loose.Like food, cook from scratch mainly. Work long days so cook ahead.

My main downfall probably is a stressful "full on " job. the office team at work have done WW with sucess but when I see them with a tiddly pot of yog and about 10 grapes in a plastic bag to go with their little tupperware of salad I just grab another bag of crisps.....I'd feel so miserable on that! (lunch for me is a whole pot of cherry toms and a 1/4 pack of feta at the moment, I eat crap in the afternoon to " keep me going" which I guess is thew big issue (that and being sedentary). I really can't do with hungry, shaky afternoons. (a good day is when I eat a net of clementines - yes a whole net, over the afternoon not crisps/biscuits/choc but these days are rare).

Have done SW before and it worked but I didn't manage to sustain it long term (though it's taken 6yrs to ut back the weight i lost and a bit more).

Not sure if I really need a " diet ". Don't want a group. THinking of WW on line but maybe I need to really make my own plan.

Working on weight/fitness in little baby steps this year in the hope I can do something I can really stick to. I've increased water intake for a week and dropped diet coke and most caffiene. It's a start..

No you will not be hungry on WW - you may crave things but you can always fill up on 0pp foods ie fruit, veg -I've just had a big bowl of no sugar jelly and fruit as craving something sweet. I lost 2st with SW but found it unsustainable and put most of it back on. I have now lost 3.7lbs with WW and still going strong (but unfortunately still lots to go) Good for you for starting but if like most people you will need a balanced healthy eating plan (not a diet) like WW or SW and online is very good -I need the weekly WI to keep me motivated - Good luck with whatever you decide.

I came on to ask a question about WW as I know nowt about it, but sounds like you would like SW. The food is lovely and if you enjoy food/cooking I think it's great. Unfortunately I don't enjoy cooking and struggle to batch cook with tiny kitchen and small freezer so I'm pondering WW!

How about low carb? Your feta lunch would work great with that :) and keeping your inuslin levels stable by avoiding carbs means that you dont get energy slumps or hunger between meals.

WW is fine. I like it opposed to other diet plans as no type of food is forgiven. With WW I would tend to have either a sandwich made with two slices of nimble bread, with ham and mustard inbetween with soup from the canteen if it looks like its low fat, or a salad from Subway which are huge and seriously fill you up.

In the afternoon I would have a snack of a banana and/or a WW bar. I hate being hungry in the afternoon, its rubbish.

If you like SW then why not go back to it? 6 years is a long time to put weight on, so it sounds like your habits just got worse as time went on if that makes sense.

I have found WW to be filling enough. Its about sensible food choices but the only free foods are fruit and low/non starchy veg, so if you are used to the extra unlimited foods that SW offer it may be more your thing.

You can cook loads of low/no point recipes with WW - I keep seeing people posting about they did SW because they liked cooking and it confuses me? This would mean you can make huge thermoses of soups, veggie curry's or similiar so can easily feel full. But as I say, if SW is your thing , then go for it Smile

I found I was hungry at first because I was trying to more or less eat the same foods as before, and probably my body needed to adjust to smaller portion sizes. Later on, though, once I got into the swing of it, I didn't find I was going hungry at all.

A net of clementines is not bad at all! I mean, that's what, ten pieces of fruit? When I was on WW that would be 5pts. And quite filling/healthy.

Feta isn't great but a bit of it mixed in with some halved cherry tomatoes/a splash of olive oil/some nice green veg would be fine.

Your body gets hungry when your stomach's empty, so just fill it up with healthy stuff.

I had a keek at the low GI diet too, and got some tips that helped to stave off hunger pangs.

I loved WW. I lost 5st on it and have kept it off for about five years now.
