Never! But then I am an al or nothing personality and intrinsically greedy - hence the need to lose weight in the first place.

I am trying to reeducate myself, so I have gone cold turkey!

Itwillendinsmiles · 23/08/2012 19:49

Very rarely but if I want chocolate I buy just one Curly Wurly.

nearlyfinisheduni · 23/08/2012 19:51

so not a once a week thing or anything? think i may need to go cold turkey...

When I want to then add more exercise the next day. I don't see the point of not having something you want. I swim so I add 10/20 more lengths to the next day's workout.

Itwillendinsmiles · 23/08/2012 19:54

I do think it's often easier to eat none rather than one. :)

Every day, but not massive amounts and then compensate for it. For example, today had a cake for breakfast which meant no lunch. But the cake was worth it!

Vajazzler · 24/08/2012 15:16

Every day! I follow weightwatchers and have a bag of ww crisps every lunchtime and a bar of cadbury chocolate every evening. YUM!

McBobby · 24/08/2012 19:32

I'm the same as Vajazzler. I have something sweet every day, also following ww. All things in moderation.

HappySquirrel · 25/08/2012 10:06

I went cold turkey for about a month and now I'm re-introducing. For example I'll have 2 squares of dark chocolate (105 kcal), a small yoghurt pot (66 kcal) or a bag of Walker's Baked Crisps (101 kcal). Oh and I love me some thai rice crackers which are 135 kcal for 25 g (half a bag from Tesco).

I've had a bit too many treats this week (though still under my calorie goal from MFP) but usually I try to only have them Friday/Saturday, apart from the yoghurt which I'm allowed during the week if I like.

munkysea · 25/08/2012 12:33

About once every two weeks or so, and I'm a bit stricter over the next few days and make sure I do more exercise. I couldn't cut things out completely, I'd end up guzzling chocolate, cake and booze!

hazchem · 25/08/2012 13:14

I've just started doing bootcamp (or more bootcamp lite) but it means i'm having treats everyday. Steak cooked in butter! Cheese (oh lovely lovely cheese how I missed you) double cream in coffee, dark chocolate, red wine, nuts! Not all on the same day is best for me I think but you get the idea. The one thing I am missing is hot chocolate but I'm feeling so very happy and not totally obsessed with food. Much more relaxed because I don't have to plan in advance if I'm going to have treats (i'm an ex WW).

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 25/08/2012 16:44

I have a WW bakewell slice with my afternoon cuppie but if I feel the need for chocolate I'll have a snack size Time Out. Definitely not both though! Im not bothered by crisps as long as I'm not having wine!

My rule is no snack over 100 cals.

I eat either a crunchie or a curly wurly and a fat free smoothie lolly every day, but account for it in my calories (on 1200 per day). I find it makes a diet easier to stick to, if there is something nice to eat.

I have eliminated sugar in tea/coffee and pretty much given up alcohol for the duration, though.
