Finally a healthy BMI but still not slim! Help!

Have lost 50+ pounds in the last year and have BMI of 23. At 5 ft 2 I'm 9 stone and want to lose another 7-10 lbs. Am apple shape with thin arms/legs/no bum but still very full in the belly - just over 32 inches. Big boobs (32F) and size 12-14. It's the middle I need to get rid of. I know some of it is loose skin but there is still a lot of fat too.
I'm eating about 1350 cals a day to try and lose 1/2 lb per week but I've lost nothing for a couple of months. I run about 6.5 km twice a week and do a hard Zumba class. (tend to drink eat the extra cals I gain from exercise).
Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted with my improved shape but thought at this weight I would be slimmer.
Also, I've had 3 babies in 4 years and have some abdominal separation. It all look ok ish if I really suck it in but can't do that all the time!
Any tips greatly received. Thank you.

Pilates should do the trick but you need to go to a good class

At a BMI of 23 I felt over weight, I had to get down to a BMI of 20 before I felt slim, even then I could afford to lose some more off my chunky legs.

What is your diet like - is it carb heavy?

I alsO need to be at a BMI of 22 to feel slim. I lost 110 pounds and when I hit healthy BMI I thought that would be enough. I ended up needing to lose over a stone more. I am not tall either. 5ft 3.5 inches. Also, remember the small you get, the less calories you need.

Thanks for replies. Diet not carb heavy - I do eat carbs but tend to go heavier on the protien eg 100g of new potatoes with 2 eggs for salad last night or a small pitta with lunch of veg and omelette. High carb breakfast tho - 2 weetabix or bowl of porridge. Thought about Pilates but I struggle to find time for another class on top of running and zumba.
What about stomach exercises at home?

I'd need to get down to 8 st for a bmi of 20 - seems impossible at this slow rate of loss - thought I'd nearly finished!

My initial target was the mid-pint of the healthy BMI range but realised when I got there I still needed to lose about 10 lbs to reduce my body fat % and it was necessary to target my exercise more effectively to get to be the the shape I wanted.

I am very slightly taller than you and weight 8st 4lbs. I also have a similar figure to you. I found the same thing when I lost all the baby weight (ds is 11mo), it was my stomach that was still a problem. Like you it was the abdominal separation from 2 pregnancies. I have a short body and had enormous bumps whilst pg. I've found the Tupler technique great (I have a book called How To Lose Your Mummy Tummy). Lots of exercises, particularly stomach exercises can make the diastasis worse, even pilates if you're not careful. I now have a 26 inch waist and am pretty content with my weight/bmi/figure balance.

Thanks for the advice. I have made an app with the GP to check the ab sep and hopefully direct me to someone who can tell me the right exercises to do. In the meantime I'd better get on with losing another stone..... Smile
