I was sure I saw a post about this a few weeks ago, but tried a board search and can't find it.
It sounds very simplistic but I've been reading the website, and by jove, Grin it makes a lot of sense to me.
Anyway if anyone has tried it I'd be interested to know how you got on with it.

I've not tried it but I think the no seconds rule will probably make some people eat more because they put more food on their plate and then eat it all despite not really needing it all.

I see what you're saying Queen Stromba, kind of stocking up in advance mentality?
I'm giving it a go, so far it's been easy. I've been reading some more about it and it's likely to be slow weight loss so I think for me that for me will be the dealbreaker, when I get impatient and want to lose faster. But I'll try to be patient and give it a fair go Grin

I already do that. 3 meals a day, 0 snacks. No sugar. The no seconds thing isn't a conscious rule for me, but I don't have them (and don't overload my plate either).

But I don't do the 'special day' rule. It's all the time for me.

WillowFae, if you have ever mentioned it here, it must have been your post I saw. If it was - thank you so much. I'd never heard of this before and I thought I'd tried every diet.

I've been doing it for a few days now and I'm very happy with it. I feel in control of food but not deprived. I think it's great for anyone who has issues with food.
I've stuck to it to the letter - had yesterday and today as S days but not gone mad. I had an extra snack yesterday. Didn't want sugary anything. And I usually have sweets/choc every day. Got some Lindt chocolate in the cupboard and haven't touched or really wanted it yet. So if I don't have it today, I can have it next weekend.

As for my earlier concerns about overeating and overfilling the one plate, it doesn't happen because as I read further into the book he does say to not pile it up.

Anyway to sum up, very happy so far. I know it's early days and I do know the rest of my weight loss will be very slow but I don't mind about that. I feel comfortable around food for the first time in ages and that's worth more than any fast weight loss. I also know that I can live this way forever, and that defintely is a big motivator for me.

HeftyHeifer

I've not mentioned the No S diet before as I'd not heard of it till this thread. But I may have mentioned my '3 meals a day and 0 snacks' thing. With me it's part of a much bigger thing :)
