Help!
I have over 20lbs to lose and I don't seem to be shedding any.
What should I change re my diet...

"cleanse" twinnings herbal tea
glass of fruit juice
Porridge made with water or rice milk with apple or sultanas

Apple and herbal tea

redbush tea
Couscous and salad

fennel tea
Apple and grapes

water
Salmon (baked) with veggies

Other breakfasts include toasted rye bread with wholenut butter or gluten free museli

Other main meals, chicken and veggie, mackerel salad, veggie chilli and brown rice...

WHY AM I STILL SO FAT - WAHHHHH!
Okay, admittedly there isn't much exercise bar running after kids and up and down stairs.

My understanding after doing Weight Watchers and losing four and half stone is that you have to watch out you eat enough - it depends on what your starting weight is and how old you are and how active you are. If you eat too little then your body will just go into starvation mode and hang on to the fat because it thinks hard times are ahead. Wink

What's your starting weight, if you want to reveal it? Looking at what you're eating it's very very little when counted as Weight Watchers points, so you might need to eat more!

I was about 12 8 and now I am 11 10
DH thinks maybe my portions are too big???

I guess I have been dieting since mid January.
The last three weeks though - no weight loss at all.
I have a free pass to a gym and will go tomorrow, but it isn't something I can afford to keep up.

Thank you...
am now ruining it all by being pregnant, overeating and putting on enormous amounts of weight!
Oh well, hopefully I can do it all over again.

spagblog, definitely portion size can be an issue - I did WW for ages (had lots to lose!) and I found that by the end I had to change the amounts, ie have less meat or fish and pile plate a bit more with veggies.

Your diet does sound very healthy indeed, well done!

Also, I definitely hit a plateau and the only thing that got me started again was exercise - know what you mean about the gym - could you try swimming at local pool say twice a week? should come in at a fiver or less..

I agree with emkana, it doesn't sound as though you are eating enough. When my mum did WW a few years ago she found she had to eat more than she did normally - more of different types of food that is.

I'm no expert as I've never been on a slimming diet but it doesn't sound terribly balanced to me. Good luck though!

Right, more water, more exercise, more protein.

I would love to go swimming but have DS during the day. Maybe I could use him in his rubber ring like a kick float
