What can I have, if anything, if I'm trying to go low-carb?

Thanks x

Tandoori mixed grill, Shami kebab as a starter?

Diolch YDdraig. Sounds lovely! Will I get away with some kind of sauce? Is tandoori dry?

Croeso!
I usually have a bit of the masala sauce that comes with it, but try to avoid sauces tbh. The meat is dry, but really tasty and filling.

Mmmm, indian is fine on low-carb if you choose carefully.

I tend to go for a dry curry like tandoori, or my fave is a green haryali curry (mint, coriander, spinach). Mixed grills and kebabs all good. Vegwise, try sag paneer, mushroom bhaji, spinach bhaji, aubergine bhaji - you get the picture!

No rice, no naan, no poppodums and definitely no mango chutney though Wink

Yeah tandoori prawns, yoghurt and maybe a chapati if u need some carb. Effin lush

teaandthorazine · 27/07/2012 19:08

Er, not yoghurt, and not chapati. Not if she's low-carbing.

Tandoori anything. It's dry in that it doesn't come with sauce, but its usually very succulent so you don't need sauce anyway. Most of the sauces are quite creamy or loaded with ghee anyway. Best avoided.

I've opted for tandoori chicken with a small salad. Am DROOLING at all your suggestions though Grin
