Sometimes I'm so fed up with thinking about what to eat, what I'm "allowed", what I've fucked up on, what I could do better that I could SCREAM. Seriously, will I ever get to a point when I can just get on with my life and stop thinking about what I put in my gob and the size of my fucking arse Angry

Rant over. Good morning all!

SlimJimBra · 02/08/2012 09:24

Oh pixie :( I know how you feel and I know I've had a bad week (will find out later just how bad!) it's really hard to be constantly on guard against potential diet saboteurs (sp?) all the time.

Just been to group - lost 1.5lb. HOW I do not know Confused

Report
FaceCrack · 02/08/2012 21:39

Well done slimjim. You must be super slim by now!

pixie I know how you feel. I am my own worst enemy. I do so well for 3-4 weeks then lose momentum and cock it up. I think its supposed to be a lifestyle /second nature kind of thing. Confused

Where is everyone today?

I am shattered after staying up trying to bag more olympic tickets. Epic fail. I have had a reasonable day food wise. I was treated to lunch by my boss so I went for pasta puttanseca. That can;t have been a complete disaster? I am getting ready for an American Invasion on Saturday so the cleaning continues...

FaceCrack · 03/08/2012 09:56

Morning all!
The sun is shining. I failed again to get Olympic tickets last night Angry.

Lots of tidying left to do today, boring. Off to a kids tea party this afternoon, I will refuse cake.
B: fruit and ff yog
L: smoked salmon and new potato salad.
D: pasta in a roast veg sauce
Snack: fruit, alpen lights x 2 (heb), muller light.
I'm off for a run in a bit, I must get back into it.

Morning!

Well done Slim! Your face must have been a picture!

yy to being my own worst enemy Face. I piss myself off, I really do. For example, I have been 100% focused now for, oooh, twelve days so I am now hitting that bit where I think "I've done so well, surely I deserve a treat now as a reward". Treats? Rewards?? What am I - some kind of dog??? Angry The term "emotional eating" doesn't even begin to cover my fucked up attitude to food.

Where is everybody? I'm at work, you aren't allowed to all be off having fun Angry Grin

SlimJimBra · 03/08/2012 13:07

I'm at work too pixie :)
Just had a realisation that the reason I lost this week despite eating cake and chips and other crap is probably because DS has all but dropped his last remaining bf :( D'oh!

Aww Sad I felt so sad when we gave up - until I went to buy myself some sexy new bras! Then suddenly it turned into a bit of a celebration Wink

I'm here, I have been tidying the boys room and have managed to put away all their clean clothes in the drawers/wardrobe for the first time in agesBlush, so not off having fun.

Report
FaceCrack · 03/08/2012 19:20

I've seen it Sad

I've only knotted 2.2 squares for expat, giraffe and mumof2boys and posting day is Monday. Need to get my skates on.

Feeling bleeee again. Pals keep cancelling on me. These are my oldest friends.

Report
JodieHarsh · 03/08/2012 19:37

oh gosh, another blanket Sad

Face you are lovely to get involved. I always wish I had the skills to do something.

right, in the scheme of things this is a small disaster, but this is what happened to me today, in list format for ease of use. Some may be familiar with the first few items:

  1. Rose early to make weddings cakes for 150 guests for best pal
  2. Oven broke
  3. Nervous breakdown
  4. Remembered a friend of a friend lives over the road. Travelled to her office to collect her keys.
  5. Went into her flat. Baked for 2 hours.
  6. Got home. Brownies not quite cooked! Shit it!
  7. Went back to her flat. Brownies back in oven.
  8. Her oven has a grill setting
  9. GRILLED about twenty quid's worth of cherry and chocolate brownies. For like, 20 minutes.

10. opened kitchen door. ENTIRE HOUSE FILLED WITH ACRID SMOKE
11. Bent double coughing like someone in a Wilfred Owen poem
12. Not my flat! Don't know how to open windows! Don't have key to back door! Smoke alarm going! Don't know how to turn it off!
13. Swept hot lava burned grilled chocolate soup into one of those Bags for Life
14. Bags for Life not waterproof you TIT!!!!! Dripped hot charcoal-speckled chooclate grease all over someone's flat!!
15. Nervous breakdown

UPSHOT:

I will be up all night making chocolate fridge cake. Yes, someone is going to have a pile of chocolate fridge cake as her wedding cake. To be fair she is quiet thrilled about this, bless her, but STILL

Shit Jodie! FWIW a pile of chocolate fridge cake sounds like heaven on a plate. Hope you aren't too tired and stressy to enjoy the wedding.

Your friends are knobbers Face. Angry

I am on a double shift and I have nothing but peppermint tea and rabbit food to see me through

Hi all

A message I thought I'd done isn't here from the other day. Arse. Jodie so sorry about the baking problems. Hope you had a very large medicinal sherry, and that the wedding is going well.

Can't believe there's another blanket wanted. I can't knit for toffee Sad

Good luck with the invasion Face, and shame on your friends for letting you down.

I didn't know whether to post this or not, and certainly won't on FB. We've had some news about M. Not saying anymore as it's not appropriate, but when you have a mo, just send a little thought her way if you can.

My diet has gone to shit. I'm not one for swearing, but there you are. Need to cheer up as I'm going over to see my dad shortly to celebrate his 70th. All the family will be there including my brother who doesn't talk to me more than once a year. Should be a laugh and a half. I think I'd rather eat grilled brownies Grin

Only another five hours of my shift to go I am knitting and MNetting to take my mind off the fact I am STARVING and am generally the worst employee in the entire world. Ho hum.

Hello all, so sorry for not being around. Do any of you not post for so long that it then becomes a daunting task? Well, that's me. But I over-think everything massively Hmm

Jodie You poor thing with the baking disaster, I was open mouthed reading your list. Am sure chocolate fridge cake went down a storm yesterday, no? How was the big day? Bet it was Amazing. Got any tips for my upcoming nuptials?

bee sending you hugs and positive vibes for 'M', must be so hard for you all. Thanks for the wee nod in the thread title btw, am so embarrassed it has taken me this long to actually post anything.

face How's the USA invasion going?

Waves to everyone else! Have a lovely Sunday.

No its not just you Slinky...sometimes theres just so much to catch up on

I'm still floating about. I had wine and pizza AND I've missed my last 3 weigh ins.
I've decided I'm going to go to the early meeting on Wednesday unless the boys don't nap as I don't want to keep missing them and I need to get serious. My DP has stated that, due to a large refund of tax, he will finally be pulling his finger out and proposing. I really don't want to not have a dress I truly love when we get married.

I've pleasantly surprised myself this weekend as he's been off on a stag do and normally I'd be eating crap like theres no tomorrow as there wouldn't be anyone round to see but have stayed within syns.

Took both my toddlers swimming on my own today too so thats got to have done something!

Phew! Long winded post!

Hope the wedding went well Jodie...the brownie debacle made me laugh - sounds like something that would happen to me!

I need to get some knitting needles and join in the square knitting

oh screaming from outside(the children)and panicked screeching(the MIL)...really must investigate!
