thank you, you are all lovely. Thanks I will indeed refocus after the holiday.

today I had a textile recycling firm come and pick up the boys outgrown clothes, and other clothes we had cleared out (I have been saving them up or a while) - I made £50! He said that's quite small compared to some houses he's been to. Am chuffed, though I won't be able to leave the boys alone with the ironing pile or they will flog it.

I have packed one bag. Containing beer, wine, medicines, vitamin tablets, novel and OU book, plus the crafty bits I have bought for the boys to make a holiday diary. DS2 will nag me all day tomorrow about getting organised. For once all the ironing is already done though.

Good afternoon, have you missed me?!

I am all set to go catch a plane in a little while so I won't be following SW for a while. Come to think of it, I need to learn what SW is all about after the lack of control I've had with my eating and I definitely need to up the exercise as I've done nothing. I haven't even been near the gym for a couple of months I reckon.

Oh well, plenty of time for that when I get home from my holidays. I will try and be a little bit good and will try and get some swimming done. I will also try and have a lovely holiday Smile

Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts, I hope to be back and committed to SW in a couple of weeks (maybe I'll need a couple of days after that to get shopping in and to get organised)

Ta Ta for now

Clod and Kid have fabulous holidays, Clod I hope you start to feel brighter soon Thanks

After the disgrace of not just picking in the office when everyone had gone, but totally demolishing a whole box of Maltesers Blush (30 syns in case you were wondering), I am now on my best behaviour shoveling as many strawberries down my neck as I can eat!

SlimJimBra · 10/08/2012 12:52

I'm really surprised there aren't more than 30 syns in a box of maltesers :o
Have a fabulous holiday kid

30 syns is not bad for a box. how many for a bag? (I used to know, and would divide the bag in halfShock

How long til the big day slinky?

Clodagh and kid have a great time away, enjoy every minute because it will go by so fast!! Seems like yesterday we were heading away!

Have missed face and Jodie too, as well as csws!!

Sis gets her results from ct scan on Monday as well as an idea of what treatment she may need, stomach is turning due to stress and worry.

On top of all that my uncle died yesterday of cancer, he went to the doctor about 5 months ago with a sore finger and that's what it was, poor man. Whilst my mum was at his house today she had a funny turn, her blood pressure is sky high and she's all over the place. Feel so helpless.

Food had been fine, I must get back to posting food diaries, I'll do today's now:

Breakfast: coffee, banana and nectarine
Lunch: ham, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, peppers, red onion, beets. Followed by a kiwi, 2 plums and strawberries
Dinner: sw chips, 1 sw burger and beans followed by an apple.

Hea milk heB Hifi bar.

Syns: 4 soft mints and a nite of dh's Jamaica Jo sausage :)

Crap! Engage brain before posting silly stuff - sorry. Sorry to hear about your uncle, it's no surprise your Mum is so upset / stressed, you all must be so worried about your poor sis xxxx Make sure you look after your Mum too, and that all the sisters support each other, a strong unity between you will strengthen all of you xxxx

LOLOL... did you see I double posted?? Only thing I can thing of is cos I went to change it from NITE of dh's jam jo sausage Grin and don't you dare apologise for making a joke.... my God it's what I come here for, some relief!!!

Is everyone enjoying the fab weather? I spent most of today with two of my sisters :) Took kiddies to park and picnic etc.. ice lollies, wee pets really enjoyed it :)

MIL text me this evening asking us down for a BBQ. I was still at home (ie: where I grew up - I'm here 15 years and don't call it home Blush) I said I didn't feel up to it, but feel really guilty now. MIL & FIL are both OK but my SIL is the nastiest, false faced person you could ever hope to run into, despite being a practising Christian, she is horrible and judgemental and so unsupportive. Family to her, is people at her Church, she only has one brother (DH) and only our children, but we only see her at Christmas and birthdfays and even then she tries to drop pressies for kids at MILS. (yes we've long a complicated history too much to go into here)

But anyway, SIL is sure to be at MILs later and I don't want her false sympathy. i know for a fact that as soon as I told MIL about my sister she would have called and told her - but she didn't even call me, text/email me... nothing, but would have acted all concerned tonight and I'm just not in the mood for her shite.

I took the head off the man working in the post office today (twat).. well, why advertise you're open to 12.30 on a Saturday if I go in at 11.40 and there's one man there, who can't do anything for me as the postmistress was at a wedding yesterday and has a headache today....I left saying don't worry, I'll go to (the next village) he shouts after me, don't tell her we weren't open.....

I wanted to life child benefit to buy the kids their school uniform, now it'll have to wait... ho hum...

Hello TDT :) lik the name!
I've walked miles today - with DS in the sling, through picturesque cornfields in glorious sunshine - hopefully I burnt off enough calories to offset the chocolate mug cake I made with my Dad earlier!

Oh god. What is a chocolate mug cake? It sounds yum!

Report
SlimJimBra · 13/08/2012 00:42

You probably don't want to know!

It's a cake that you make in a mug (or Pyrex jug if you're my Dad and over estimate the quantities) and cook in the microwave in 3 mins..and then decide would be yummy with ice cream! Whoops! GrinGrinGrin Search mumsnet recipes for dangerous chocolate cake.

MOOOOORNING!!!!

Now, I was wondering why y'all weren't showing up on my active convos, and thought, gosh, they must all not be posting, and be off on their yachts in the Caribbean or something, then I realised that it was because I hadn't posted for so long Grin

Right, I do solemnly promise and swear, that when I have moved to The Country and I'm not juggling nineteen different jobs* I will be boringly assiduous on this weight loss business. No honestly! I totes promise!

As it is, I shall skip this coming DoD, and weigh in at the next, and assess The Damage, but in the meantime I'll be hanging around and listing my eats. I hope that's OK.

Not read through the thread yet, but will do in a break between receiving job applications from completely incoherent candidates Hmm

My food today thusly (using myfitnesspal set to around 1300 cals):

B - black coffee and croissant
L - Itsu avocado and rice salad
D - chicken and pumpkin curry with flatbread and salads, spot of icecream after.

*This is only a very slight exaggeration

It fed 3 adults Shock wouldn't recommend it for one person even if they weren't dieting, make sure you have people to share it with Grin

Hello all Smile

Sorry for being away a few days, but real life got in the way. Back on it properly today and will have to catch up.

I was going to do a post in our secret place, but wondered if H might see it. Anyway. I'm feeling rather pleased to be alive after Saturday. He had one of his episodes while driving Sad Doing 67mph (funny how I remember seeing the number) steering into the other lane with a lorry coming to be precise. I had to grab the wheel and try and slow us down using the handbrake. I have never been so terrified, and because I was screaming, so did the dc Sad Needless to say, I took over the driving but he got funny about it. I would have just brought us home, but I couldn't not take them where I'd promised (Peppa World).

Anyhoo. Off now to see what you've all been up to.

Quite, Pixie. He couldn't understand why I sat and cried while driving the car, and then when we were at PP World. And also couldn't understand why I wouldn't let him drive home.

Hey ho.

Doing ok so far food wise today - 2 weetabix and some black coffee. Might break out the cheese triangles on toast for lunch, then quorn chilli for tea. Depends how wrinkly the peppers in the fridge are Grin

Must dash. I think the dc are shutting each other in a wardrobe upstairs... Hmm
