Can anyone summarise his rules for me please. Interested, but there is a wait for his book from the library

It's £3.99 including delivery here if you can't wait for the library.

thanks but will be away by time delivered. Was just trying to understand the basics. Anyone able to help?

(Very) basics:

  • cut down your carbohydrates and make sure that the carbs you eat come from vegetables and salad. Certainly no pasta/bread/rice/sugar
  • eat 'clean' food - unprocessed as far as possible
  • avoid fruit/fruit juice

Thanks BIWI. I used to read his articles when he wrote for the guardian and respect his views. I seem to hear a lot about him at the moment. I do plan to read his book to fully understand it when I get chance. I eat very little processed food and can easily cut back on carbs (though not sure can go v low). Will find cutting out fruit tricky though as love the stuff and have a garden full of it. Really looking for a healthy way of eating and to maybe lose a bit of wobble round my tum, rather than serious weight loss

Have a look at his blog

This might also help you - loads of stuff here, not all about weight/weight loss.

Re fruit - if you can stick to berries then that is better. It would be a terrible shame to see a garden-full go to waste!

You don't have to go 'very low' with carbs, but his advice is to cut out those that are too easily accessible, hence the pasta/bread/rice/sugar. (Wholegrain versions aren't that much better in his view, as far as I can remember).

Thanks for that BIWI, very interesting
