Hello Ladies,
I dont need to lose anymore weight...the only thing that doesnt seem to be shifting is my belly, I want to start toning up now however I dont now what else I can do to shift this belly. I'm eating low carb (not no carb) and healthy, I take my dog a walk for 30-40 mins everyday and I've started doing 30 mins on a cross trainer 3-4 times a week.
I've only started doing the cross trainer but I'm not sure wether to carry on because I dont want to waste my time if its not going to shift the belly. I've tried to look up on the internet but there is so many different types of workout like long cardio/intense etc I dont know whats the best way.
Has anyone on here achieved a belly-less body and what was your exercise regime?
Thank you in advance

Try INTERVAL TRAINING. Look up on youtube or any internet site. You will go into higher intensity mode and burn fat. Get a book from the library regarding training yourself. Perhaps try an exercise class as you hopefully you will enjoy yourself and burn more calories. Some people are more prone to carry weigh on tummy (apple shape). If your stomach measurement is less than half your height, you are at lower risk of heart disease. Whatever you do, enjoy the journey getting to be the shape you want to be. Most of all respect yourself you are unique. I really hope this helps.

Hi 30 minute sessions on the cross trainer are not going to do you much good except bore you to death. Try going on it for 6 minutes and vary each session so that you change the levels and change the RPM during your session and every week. You should be coming off that trainer having given it your all i.e. a bit wobbly and sweating! Try also do similar on the bike, treadmill and step. As the poster has said above, doing interval trainer is much more effective than a long session on one machine. Varying the intensity is important but no need for 30 minutes on one machine.

You also need to ensure your core is as strong as possible so google exercises that are good for your core. Things like the plank, doing resistance training, pilates etc. You need to burn fat and although you can't burn it off one particular area, if you strengthen your abs as possible, when you do lose the fat, the result will be much better. Make your time at the gym count (sorry I am beginning to sound like a crazy woman)?
